By visiting us in Fukui, you will confirm with your eyes FUT to be a community vibrant with cheerful students and caring faculty/staff members with personal attention to their students. Founded by the Kanai Educational Institution in 1965, FUT has produced, over its 53-year history, a list of more than 27,000 alumni who have consistently made contributions in their professions. The heart of FUT's success resides in a team of outstanding faculty, staff, and administration members that is dedicated and committed to the students with FUT's mission statement "all for the students." FUT is a student-centered university, and all the faculty and staff members are devoted to helping students achieve their educational goals. The campus of FUT is filled with a family-like atmosphere of friendliness, so the students can feel comfortable and at home. FUT prides itself on having professors who are committed to academic excellence in their classrooms and relevant teaching. The Fukui University of Technology strives to nurture engineers who are learned and cultured with a deep respect for human dignity, have a high level of scientific knowledge and technical skills that can build lives in harmony with nature, and who can act creatively on their initiative to contribute to the development of the human society as well as to the wellbeing of humankind. Living in the 21st century, we must diligently maintain our endeavors to promote a diverse dialogue between civilizations to gain the power to connect people and hearts across borders and oceans. Here, at the Fukui University of Technology, we are committed to producing competent engineers who will flourish on the global stage. We cultivate a spirit of patriotism being rooted in the long-established history and tradition of the Japanese, foster individuals who value fidelity to principle, devote ourselves to our studies of science and technology, and thereby contribute to human society's welfare. FUT's academic programs include a range of educational training that are practice-oriented and yet rooted in basic theory to help prepare students to succeed in their chosen careers. A characteristic feature of our curriculum is that it is designed for students to develop innovative ways of thinking based on scientific theories rather than merely loaded with superficial knowledge. Our curriculum is multi-disciplinary and is based on the learning needs of students. From learning experiences at FUT, students will eventually acquire the real-world knowledge, leadership skills, and global perspectives necessary for their successes in an ever-changing, complex world in the 21st century. FUT provides a culturally diverse community of international students with undergraduate and graduate degree programs. Our diverse faculty strives to help students explore their possibilities, ideas, and perspectives to prepare them for their future careers. FUT students can pursue their interests in various disciplines under the detailed guidance of a professor they choose to work with. There are many opportunities for involvement in innovative research projects in a wide range of disciplines at FUT.

Rich creative skills as a base to promote the advancement of academic culture that responds to the development of the times quickly, to provide talented persons with advanced and professional knowledge and skills In addition to cultivating, developing advanced scientific research and technology, opening up academic information to the community, we aim to contribute to the development of industries and culture of Fukui Prefecture, as well as Japan, so that humanity The mission is to contribute to the improvement of the permanent welfare. The Three Core Principles of Fukui Prefectural University are: Advanced education and research in line with cutting-edge progress in technological innovation, information systems, internationalization, and rapid development in science and technology. Introduce new education methods and small-class settings through an adaptable curriculum that can respond flexibly to changes in society. Opportunities and facilities to learn about research outcomes open to the public and to promote collaborative relationships among industry, government, and academia, including research related to the unique features of local areas. A career is a life or lifestyle built on professional experiences. Career education is the area that leads individuals to an understanding of how they want to live and work and to help them design their future career through the study of their self and society. The university has created its own original Career Design Notebook, which is distributed to new students. The Career Design Notebook consists of two parts: Expository texts with specific themes, such as the importance of university learning, the meaning of work, and abilities required in society, and a notebook for students to fill in their ideas. This notebook helps students discover many things and build a better vision of their future. The university invites guest teachers from various companies and organizations to provide special lectures. Students can envision their future and learn about actual society through these lectures and practical classes that conduct communication workshops and provide workplace visits. The Career Center provides opportunities for self-analysis, future direction research, work experience, and guidance seminars, in addition to advice from center staff. Detailed and useful information is offered, essential to those students seeking future opportunities and support for their job-hunting activities. The university has formed partnerships with ten universities in different countries, including China, Korea, Taiwan, Vietnam, Mongolia, and Peru. It sends and accepts exchange students and conducts friendship exchanges and research exchanges among teachers. The university has developed some foreign exchange programs, based on international academic exchange agreements, with overseas universities, including Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics (China), Jilin University (China), Gangneung-Wonju National University (Korea), Chonnam National University (Korea), National Kaohsiung First University of Science and Technology (Taiwan), National Ilan University (Taiwan), University of Social Sciences and Humanities of Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam), and Foreign Trade University (Vietnam). In this program, students live and study overseas in the long term, learn a foreign language, and enhance their specialized area knowledge.
