      1. As a top UK Boarding school, as well as our full boarding option, we also offer weekly and Flexi boarding today pupils which are very popular. An ambitious learning culture permeates all that we do, both within the classroom and beyond. At Framlingham, we nurture skills such as critical thinking, emotional intelligence, good judgment, and decision-making. Above all, we are committed to instilling a lifelong curiosity and love of inquiry in our pupils. We celebrate the individual and enable each child to find the confidence to follow their path. At the heart of the College are the values we live by – trust and tolerance, integrity and courage, perseverance and resilience, respect and compassion. These are cherished and upheld at every stage of the Framlingham educational journey. From Nursery to Sixth Form, we offer a seamless pathway through your child’s formative years. Our boarding ethos brings a depth of experience and space and time to reflect, develop and grow. At Framlingham, tenacity, humor, and kindness abound. The teaching and learning philosophy of Framlingham College Senior School centers upon our key values. We want every child to take charge of his or her learning. Pupils should ask searching questions, challenge assumptions and apply critical thinking in all their studies. The College values scholarship – scholar groups exist for every year group supported by a tailored mentoring program – and we have a fine tradition of academic success. All Year 9 pupils pursue a broad program of study that, for most, includes two languages and an Extension Work syllabus. This encourages pupils to think beyond narrowly-defined subjects and to develop their study skills, in preparation for the GCSE courses they’ll choose in Years 10 and 11. The core subjects at this level are English Language, English Literature, Mathematics, and Science. The children can choose four additional GCSE courses and they all study PE, while also receiving career advice and pursuing a program of Personal, Social, and Health Education. Framlingham College Senior School will give your children the knowledge and self-belief to fulfill their full potential. Our co-curricular activities include trips and a wide-ranging program of lectures – often delivered by outside speakers. Pupils can also take advantage of various leadership opportunities, such as the perfect system, peer mentoring, the Combined Cadet Force (CCF), the Model United Nations, and a range of sports teams. After GCSEs, the vast majority of pupils progress from Framlingham College Senior School to Framlingham College Sixth Form. View full school
      2. A prep school education should be rigorous and challenging, but it must also be creative, vibrant, and, above all, fun. At a time when schools so often surrender their individuality in the face of rigid testing and regulation, we feel passionate that children should be able to carry on doing the stuff that children ought to be doing for as long as they possibly can. For that reason, a Framlingham College Prep School education remains every bit as diverse as it was when the school was established in its idyllic, rural haven exactly seventy years ago. From sports pitches to laboratories and from Art and Design to Music, Drama and Technology you’ll find children confidently expressing themselves and discovering new talents. They work hard but always enjoy their learning and they carry that passion with them for life. While we are understandably proud of our impressive academic record, we know that long-term success is built on broader qualities and values. Well-being, resilience, and citizenship feature highly amongst these. Framlingham College Prep School is a happy, nurturing school where children feel valued and inspired. We celebrate difference and encourage pupils to communicate respectfully, to work well together, and, above all, to care for those around them and the world beyond. We value kindness and service every bit as highly as academic prowess and all-around talents. But it’s not just the children that are prioritized and happy parents are a crucial part of the learning partnership. With the flexibility of our extended days and our innovative Boarding offering, we are better equipped than ever to build an education around the lives of busy families. Our aim at Framlingham is to develop independent, well-mannered, positive individuals who stand out from the crowd in all the right ways but also know the value of the team. The young men and women who move on from the Prep School do so as confident, well-balanced youngsters, all-rounders in every sense. We are preparing children not just for exams, but also for life beyond. View full school
