  1. El Fouad International School was established in 2005. From its humble beginnings, with an initial intake of 300 students, the School has grown to 2500 students with 500 in the International School and 2000 children in the English Language School. Both sections join together regularly for extra-curricular activities and major events. The vision of El-Fouad International schools states: “to prepare students with the skills necessary to be able to continue their education”. Therefore our curriculum should focus on the skills of the twenty-first century. Some of these skills that we will incorporate in our curriculum are independent learning, critical thinking, and creative problem-solving in addition to many others. “Providing high-quality education” as stated in our mission statement, drives us to continuously improve our teaching methods and technology and create a continuous training program for our teachers, so we can make our curriculum alive in each classroom. El-Fouad International School, which provides students with an educational community that fosters a passion for excellence, along with mutual respect and understanding. At El-Fouad International School the instructional strategies combine theory with practice and focus on innovative and successful ideas. We advance and strengthen our education with the American curriculum and standards. FIS offers a nurturing and supportive environment where cultural diversity is highly valued and appreciated. An inquiry-based learning environment promotes student learning by connecting their prior knowledge with new knowledge. Committed, caring, and highly qualified international teachers provide rich learning experiences and planned opportunities for students to reflect on what they have learned. FIS is an international School, centered in Sharkia, which inspires educational excellence, personal integrity, and responsible global citizenship through a dynamic international experience. El-Fouad International Kindergarten endeavors to work in partnership and the community to enhance and involve the abilities and skills of the whole child, including his/her personal, social, physical, and intellectual development. Early childhood is a crucial period in the life of our children. Research says that 90% of brain development happens in the first five years. Psychologists believe that the first five years are the formative years. That’s why we, at FIS, take the responsibility of providing a nurturing environment to our early childhood students very seriously. Our dedicated staff aspires to help the children reach their fullest potential as critical thinkers, problem solvers, and outstanding future citizens. Our environment is safe and nurturing, and each child feels special. All our students are valued as unique individuals with different learning needs and styles that we try to accommodate. We, therefore, adopt an Eclectic philosophy to teaching where we use different methodologies and philosophies to meet the various needs of our students. In Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten, we incorporate the Montessori Practical Life Skills into our curriculum to develop students' fine motor skills. From Preschool through Kindergarten, we combine the structure of the British system with the creativity of the American in our Phonological and Phonemic Awareness program, in addition to the Drama program. We also have a strong Character Education program that is incorporated in everything we do. All of our learning activities are hands-on and most of the learning happens while students are playing. FIS is committed to deliver to society distinguished adults who honor their cultural identity, maintain personal growth and strive for academic excellence qualities enabling them to live with purpose, fulfill their mission in life and make a difference in a challenging global environment.
