At Forestdale Primary School high standards and creativity are central to our ethos. We have created a carefully devised skills-based curriculum that honors children’s creativity and makes learning exciting and relevant for every child. The learning at Forestdale is vivid, real, and meaningful with many first-hand experiences and opportunities. We aim for our children to take on responsibility and have ownership of their learning, think for themselves, and be creative they celebrate one another’s cultural diversity and learn about their different faiths and traditions. This is based on their prior learning experiences. We aim to take our children on a journey so they can reach the stars. We provide: A curriculum where every child can find their true talents. Learning in real-life situations- opportunities to negotiate, resolve conflict, problem-solve, and think for themselves. No limits on learning. We take children to unknown worlds. A curriculum that provokes lines of inquiry- the children ask the questions. An environment that develops pupils’ spiritual, moral, social, and cultural developments. Pupils with a strong sense of right and wrong and use various techniques to resolve peacefully any disputes that may arise between them. At Forestdale, British values are reinforced regularly through the opportunity for pupil's voices, close links with the community, and collective worship. Pupils engage with the values and understand their implications for making choices about their attitudes and responses.
