Here at our beautiful 380-acre campus, we are here to support and serve students in all of their future academic endeavors. We offer 37 different degree programs that are designed to prepare students for success in their future careers. 89% of our Farmingdale graduates are working six months after graduation. Not only do we have excellent academics, but Farmingdale has a beautiful community that is dedicated to student success. Students have the opportunity to be whom they want to be. With over 70 different clubs on campus to join, there are endless opportunities to explore and learn. Here at Farmingdale, we have a high influx of incoming students and applications. Even though we have over 9,500 students, we still maintain smaller class sizes. Our average class size is 24 students, with a 20:1 faculty to student ratio. Some of our popular majors are Bioscience, Engineering Technology, and Business Management. Paying for College and finding the right financial aid can be an overwhelming process. Our site's financial aid section is designed to provide all the information that you will need to apply for financial aid and develop an award package tailored to meet your college expenses. We participate in federal and state aid programs that help make education affordable for all students. We also provide debt-management counseling and College Work-Study placement services. The Farmingdale College Foundation, through the generosity of alumni, donors, and friends, award scholarships to new and continuing students based on many factors including financial need, academic merit, donor preferences, and academic majors. While many Foundation scholarships are awarded through the financial aid process, there are several scholarships for students to apply. Scholarships are awarded annually to eligible students to be used for qualified educational expenses. Those students who are already receiving full scholarship/grant funding for their room, board, and tuition are not eligible. Unlike loans, scholarships do not have to be repaid. Farmingdale College Foundation scholarships require students to file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), verified by the Financial Aid office. Scholarship applicants are responsible for completing forms and providing valid documentation for scholarship consideration. All scholarship recipients must remain in good academic standing with Farmingdale State College. Study Abroad is a fantastic opportunity for students to travel overseas, enroll in classes at a foreign university, and experience a new culture. The programs available to you as a student will provide the confidence, cultural exposure, self-awareness, and career preparation necessary in this expanding global job market. Study abroad grants you the opportunity to study in a foreign country for various terms: summer, intersession, fall semester, spring semester, and a full year. Exchange is different from studying abroad in that you and a student from a partner university are essentially trading places. This is unique because there are usually limited spots and the tuition and fees are the same as studying at Farmingdale. Exchange programs have been developed with universities having curriculum and teaching methods similar to those here are Farmingdale State College. An exchange experience abroad will not only keep you on track, but it is a great way to explore a new culture and is an excellent addition to your resume. We offer 38 different degree programs. Each program is supported by intense experiential learning and is designed to prepare you for success in today's high demand careers. There is always something to do at Farmingdale State College. Over 70 student organizations have been established throughout campus to get involved with. You can create a new club to suit your interests. We also have 18 Division III Athletic Teams as well as numerous Intramural Leagues and Tournaments.
