- Fairlawn Primary School is a highly successful and happy school in Forest Hill. We are strong believers in schools working together to improve outcomes for children. We, therefore, work in partnership with Haseltine Primary School. You can view Haseltine’s website here. Our children have excellent learning behaviors, are eager to learn, and are supported by a team of hard-working, talented, and dedicated staff. We pride ourselves on providing a warm and friendly environment where both children and parents feel they are welcomed and listened to. At Fairlawn, we aim for every child to have high self-esteem and be equipped to make a valuable contribution in later life. Our PSHE curriculum is delivered through values education. Six values are taught each year, with one being taught per half term. There are weekly PSHE lesson values that are also embedded through whole school assemblies and cross-curricular applications. THE remaining PSHE learning time is used to meet each class’s personal, social, and health needs. Class teachers decide how best to deliver this provision. Class teachers also cover Sex and Relationships Education content for their year group during the Summer term to ensure that children understand the boundaries of healthy relationships and the changes in their bodies. Notice is always given before SRE being taught. Anyone who wished to withdraw their child from aspects of SRE must inform the Head of School in writing. View full school
