      1. Our College seeks to provide students with the opportunity to develop their gifts and foster a passion for lifelong learning to serve and lead society. We seek to inspire in students global awareness and compassion for their world, guided by the principles of love, justice, and mercy. Our nurturing Christian environment, community spirit, and holistic educational philosophy support students in becoming all God has created them to be. Late in 1995, the then Housing Minister Kevin Prince, along with Planning Minister Richard Lewis, announced the official beginning of a $1.5billion housing development set amidst Perth's rapidly expanding north-eastern corridor. The development was named Ellenbrook, and it was declared that the housing development would be the most significant land development project ever undertaken in the state's history. For Swan Christian Education Association (SCEA), the new development presented an exciting opportunity to not only plant another college in a new area of Perth but to do so with a ready-made family population, most of whom would be looking for a new school for their children as they moved into the area. As early as 1996, the Association began to think about the possibility of a new school being part of the sizeable development. The Association's culture was one of actively seeking to develop new schools to bring Christian education to as many people as possible. The Spirit of Ellenbrook articulates who we are. It is an expression of our College culture, our purpose, and our hope for our students. Leadership through service. We partner with families and communities to provide Christ-centred, innovative, and relevant education to equip our graduates to serve and lead in society. Our Vision is to be a College community that is in Christ and therefore equipped to serve, encourages, empower and develop students and staff a College community that embraces a global outlook in order to serve the international community. This College community is passionate about life-long learning so that our members can actively contribute to society. In being this College, we ultimately seek to produce graduates who will be informed of the gospel and consequently empowered by the principles of love, justice and mercy in order to serve and lead society graduates who are well-educated, skilled, and knowledgeable so that they can live productive and rewarding lives. Humility, integrity, purpose (or "HIP"). We believe that wisdom is of God and recognizes that all experience, good judgment, knowledge, and understanding come from Him. Therefore, an education only has real value and purpose if children are taught to know and follow God, Who is the author of all creation. It is by learning about God, knowing Him, and building their lives on His principles that students will be able to apply knowledge in a way that serves society and be equipped to live satisfying lives amidst change and challenge.
