This website aims to give you an insight into the school's enjoyable, hard-working approach and atmosphere, as well as providing regularly updated information for both parents and pupils. Downderry has a disability equality duty that applies to all disabled pupils, staff, and those using services provided by the school. Our pupils and teachers use many languages and they come from all sorts of backgrounds. We know and respect the cultures and faiths from which they are drawn. We have no religious affiliations and celebrate all. We also help children and their parents with their English. Our doors are always open to parents as well as children and we work with many other local organizations to help and improve our community. Downderry is a place where your children can feel safe, confident, and valued and you can be you can feel a real sense of belonging. It's like a family. We are here to help and support local families like you with children aged 0-19 by providing information, advice, and a range of free activities for you and your family to enjoy. You will find information on childcare, family support, and family health, as well as courses to help you return to work and much more. We run a variety of interactive activities all year round. Come and join our play sessions to aid your child’s learning, meet other parents and have fun! Maybe you are interested in our adult learning program which includes ESOL classes.
