      1. Our College is set on 15 hectares in the rapidly growing northern end of the Gold Coast. The College was founded by The Honourable Ivan Gibbs and opened in 1997. Since its early beginnings at a Coomera farmhouse, Coomera Anglican College has operated with an eye on the future. Built on a vision to inspire excellence in teaching, learning, service, and the Anglican faith, the College provides students with a seamless transition from early learning to primary, secondary, and vocational or tertiary education. Today the College has grown to become one of South East Queensland's most progressive educational institutions educating students from Kindergarten – Year 12. Our premium multi-disciplinary facilities showcase architect-designed Primary, Junior, and Senior Secondary campuses and quality facilities, which include an Aquatic Centre with a 25m, eight-lane pool, gymnasium, Performing Arts Centre, and a Visual Arts Studios and Gallery. At Coomera Anglican College Early Learning Centre, we foster a learning environment built on the foundations of the Anglican Ethos and the iLR - imagine, Listen, Respect values culture of the College. This is achieved by incorporating the Early Years Learning Framework and the Queensland Kindergarten Guidelines and through valued child/teacher initiated play experiences. We recognize, acknowledge, value, and respect each child's uniqueness within our Centre and work in partnership with families to ensure that they become capable, confident, and competent members of the College community. Our Preparatory Programme has been established since the College's inception and is the first year of the Primary curriculum. It is a full day, five days a week program where children begin their formal academic studies. Children learn through all key learning areas, including English, Mathematics, Humanities, and Social Science, Science, and Religious and Values Education. They also experience eLearning, Drama, Music, and Visual Arts, Chinese, and Physical Education with specialist teachers. During this period, our staff aim to continue to develop in children strong literacy and numeracy skills and excellent work habits and attitudes while fostering a love of learning now and for the future. Learning activities are planned with the awareness that each individual has a particular learning style and unique gifts, which are extended to enable each child to reach their full potential. This is assisted by our in-class extension opportunities, Maths Mastery and Infinity, and Beyond Group Programme. Spelling Mastery, Home Reading, and Guided Reading (Oxford Reading Tree) vertically cross-year levels allow all students to consolidate or extend their learning as needed. Students in Years 10, 11, and 12 are beginning to plan for their future beyond school. They can select subject areas of particular interest to maximize their future options for tertiary study or employment. The Senior Secondary Campus caters to all our students' interests and passions and allows them to concentrate on achieving their best during their final years of secondary education. It also fosters excellence in an environment that assists students in becoming independent learners who can achieve their goals, focusing on a positive future. The highly qualified teaching staff have developed the academic program in line with the National Curriculum. In addition to the core subjects of English, Humanities, Mathematics, Religious and Values Education and Science, Year Ten students are offered a wide variety of specialist subjects in Key Learning Areas such as Physical Education, the Arts, Technology, Design, Languages, and Business, enabling students to make well-informed decisions regarding their future pathways.
