Chemistry research involves first-class pharmaceutical drug development, polymers, durability, and multiphased process engineering. You can find plenty of useful information on this page. SIGMA Clermont takes part in several exchange programs, like Erasmus+, n+i, Arfitec, Mexfitec, Brafitec, and CEF. Each year we welcome about 50 students from our partner universities. International affairs have always been at the heart of our school's philosophy, playing a transverse role in the three main sectors of our activity, teaching, research, and enterprise. Thanks to our network of relations worldwide, we can sustain a very high level of student and faculty mobility, both incoming and outgoing. We are convinced that this provides our students with a better, more complete preparation towards becoming tomorrow's engineers. SIGMA Clermont provides different levels of French as Foreign Language (FLE) classes for international students. This language course will be awarded 4 ECTS credits. We strongly recommend participating in this course, even if you already have some knowledge of French. Degree students will take DELF or DALF certification at the end of their course. Since its creation in 1908, the National School of Chemistry of Clermont-Ferrand (ENSCCF) has gone through several mutations, especially with the merger SIGMA ENSCCF. It has been able to adapt to the changes in each era and the industry's needs. The ENSCCF is a Public Administrative Establishment (EPA) under Article 719-10 of the Education Code (referred to as ex-Article 43), attached by convention to Clermont 2 University, under the supervision of the Ministry of Education. National Education of Higher Education and Research. Founding members of PRES Clermont University in 2008, ENSCCF and IFMA contributed to the establishment of territorial coordination "University Clermont Auvergne and Associates" in 2015. It is still the ENSCCF and the IFMA which, in 2013, opened the AGERA in the Auvergne territory (Alliance des Grandes Ecoles of Rhône-Alpes and Auvergne).
- University of Clermont Auvergne (UCA) is committed to developing educational programs for an international public (dual-award programs) and enhancing its research internationally. These two drivers have the broad support of programs which consolidate the position of our institution in the international environment through the participation of different consortiums in European programs and by our presence in cooperative academic associations such as AUF and EUA, and through our more and more active participation in international research and cooperation projects. Since its creation, UCA has embraced the two leading European political roadmaps for 2014-2020 through the Erasmus+ and Horizon 2020 programs. UCA is at the heart of the Erasmus Internship Consortium for the whole catchment area of Clermont Ferrand. As proof of recognition, since 2014, UCA has been distinguished in the Shanghai ratings for its achievements in physics, and since 2015 is ranked 193rd by the Times Higher Education for its international development. To obtain European accreditations and build dual-award or double-degree programs, it is vital to associate the English language with the teaching of French as a foreign language. The development of multi-lingual programs has become a priority for our French students and our international students. To rise to this challenge, flexible yet incentive action plans have been implemented for both the university schools and the laboratories.
