Based at the heart of the Olympic East Village, we are a unique Academy dedicated to ensuring that whatever the needs of your child, we will guide them to reach their absolute potential. Chobham has been designed by international architects Allford Hall Monaghan Morris, who have used upon their extensive experience in the design of educational facilities for children of all ages, with Lend Lease overseeing the development and construction of our buildings. The results are astonishing, and the campus is a focal point for local families living in East Village and the surrounding neighborhoods for generations to come. There is a panoramic roof terrace from which students and staff see and are inspired by many of London’s most iconic buildings as well as, in the mediate vicinity, the whole of East Village. There is a fabulous theatre, a large sports hall equipped for everything from dance to basketball, a suite of music rooms, and a lecture hall for our Sixth Formers. Outside there are playing fields, tennis courts and playgrounds for different age groups which will have lots of games and equipment for students to use during break and lunchtimes. With its location in the East Village, the Academy has easy access to all manner of magnificent sports facilities in the Olympic Park. The campus has recently won an award at the World Architecture Festival, for the best new school building. We are proud of our values, both traditional and modern, and provide academic pathways with challenge students to think beyond the classroom. The Academy continues to build on the track record of the Harris Federation, which has a proven, trusted, and very popular moth of running its schools. We will ensure all our staff, other professionals, parents/carers, and students work together to know the rules about keeping children safe. They will understand the importance of following procedures and listening to each other, especially when there are safety concerns. Teaching and Learning are at the heart of Chobham Academy. We provide an exciting, personalized curriculum, which supports and challenges all of our students and is at the heart of our teaching and learning philosophy. We ensure that all teaching and support staff have access to the highest quality training programs to provide the best learning opportunities for every student. Chobham Academy is committed to providing an appropriate and high-quality education for all children. We believe that all children, including those identified as having Special Educational Needs and also those who are identified as ‘Gifted and Talented’, have a common entitlement to a broad and balanced academic and social curriculum.
