      1. North-Chiang Mai University was established in 1999. The aim is to offer the best and most valuable thing to society education, which is immortal. These values and beliefs incorporate an attitude that giving leads to true happiness, maintaining that nothing is more valuable than education. Education develops a person to perfection. It is a highly delicate and complicated task that needs patience, devotion, commitment, and persistence. Any particular person cannot accomplish such a challenging mission. However, it must be from everyone's collaboration, including the founder, administrators, faculty, and staff members, and most importantly, the parents and students, which are the core of the organization. The University's task is to develop qualified and responsible graduates to the society and make North-Chiang Mai University an outstanding academic institution as NCU vision. "North-Chiang Mai University will be the leading University in sciences and technology in the North of Thailand. It is a warm place of learning. The graduates of NCU must be strong in ICT and skillful in the practice in line with integrity".North-Chiang Mai University has also pledged to fulfill the four critical missions of a University of Thailand: 1) Giving education 2) Research 3) Academic Services 4) Arts and Culture Conservation. On the principle of Honesty, Diligence, and Justice. And also has committed to serve Thai society under the philosophy of Sufficiency Economy results from insufficiency economy rational thinking, creating an immune for self-protection under integrity for the readiness of the world. The University also aims at preparing graduates to meet the challenges of the workplace, society, and the growing global economy both in the governmental and private sectors. Graduates of North-Chiang Mai University will be prepared to face these challenges and be adequately equipped with technology, communication, problem-solving, leadership, and entrepreneurial ship. They will also be able to act and think creatively, critically, and most importantly, morally and ethically. North-Chiang Mai University provides higher education based on Teaching and Learning Academic Service, Research and Culture Conservation through the philosophy of Honesty, Diligence, and Justice to serve Thai society under the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy of H.M. King Bhumibol Adulyadej. The graduates of NCU should possess sufficiency, rationality, self-immunization with ethical integrity, and adaptation to the change of globalization. North-Chiang Mai University is a private university in sciences and technology, a pride of the North of Thailand; it is a warm place of learning. The graduates have high skills in ICT and working experience in line with morality and ethical integrity.

Founded in January 1964, under a Royal Charter granted by His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, Chiang Mai University (CMU) was established as the first institution of higher education in Northern Thailand first provincial University in our kingdom. Ever since its founding, CMU is focused on the comprehensive institution of higher learning while providing a broad range of academic programs. In the research field, CMU has been launching innovative initiatives and development projects, which are utilized to advance the standards of teaching, learning, and technology transfer, supporting the social and economic development of the region and the country as a whole. More recently, we have been very proud to celebrate CMU's 50th Anniversary. While it is a short but remarkable history, CMU has earned a reputation as a veritable institution maintaining high academic standards. CMU is also an established member of the ASEAN University Network, paving its way forward to be a critical Education Hub in the region. Locally CMU is acknowledged as the pre-eminent center for study in Northern Thailand and nationally recognized as one of the top four universities and nine "National Research Universities." It is also worth noting that CMU is ranked in the top 100 universities in Asia at 92 in the "QS Asian Universities Ranking 2014". These results demonstrate CMU's academic and research strength, a necessary prerequisite for us to achieve our development goal of becoming a research-oriented "World Class University." As internationalization continues to be an essential factor in higher education development and responds to the continuously growing domestic demand for international-level programs, CMU currently offers six international undergraduate degrees and 27 international postgraduate degree programs. Through constructive interaction with more than 200 partners worldwide, we seek to enhance both the quantity and quality of research and development projects conducted at CMU. The ever-increasing number of our international students on campus reassures us that we are successfully working towards providing world-class education. Chiang Mai University was founded in January 1964, under a Royal Charter granted by His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej. CMU was the first institution of higher education in the north and the first provincial university in Thailand. Chiang Mai University is a Leading University with Academic Excellence in International Standards, focusing on becoming a research-oriented institution of higher education and producing graduates with high moral and ethical standards, equipped to practice good governance under the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy and Sustainable Development. Five-fold Mission addresses the challenges our nation faces amidst a globalizing world: Provide higher education and high-level professional education emphasizing academic excellence and quality of graduates with high moral and ethical standards under the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy. Conduct research in various fields to support teaching, learning, and technology transfer for the region's social and economic development and the country. Provide academic services to the national community in line with the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy, particularly for Northern Thailand.
