International Burch University (IBU) was established in 2008 in Sarajevo, capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, to present a unique opportunity to rethink a modern university's very idea and formulate a blueprint for the future. Upon the Sarajevo Canton Ministry of Education decision, the teaching process was started according to the Bologna System of Education (3+2+3) entirely in the English language within three faculties. Burch University began with a determined mission: "To advance learning and transform lives." Now University pursues to adapt successfully to students' needs by investing in world-class facilities for teaching, learning, research, and recreation. With some of the highest quality teaching and research and the broadest spread o academic subjects, we will be able to complete the order being recognized as one of the leading universities in the region. IBU is a member of the private Global Education Educational Institutions family, well known on the ground of Bosnia and Herzegovina for its students' success in participating in various educational competitions on the federal, national, and international levels. Global Education Educational Institutions offer education in seven schools from primary school through college up to University in cities of Tuzla, Bihac, Zenica, and Sarajevo. The mission of International Burch University is to support education, scientific research, and the training of highly qualified personnel to work in academic and professional fields through the development of modern curricula and creating an environment to encourage creative, objective, and critical thinking and continuous learning. One of the essential parts of the educational process at our University is an obligatory internship. Every student has to complete at least 30 working days of internship before completing the undergraduate studies. This program inducts you into the labor market and allows you to adopt the essential working skills and habits to foster your future career. To assist students and graduates with achieving their career aspirations and goals, Burch Career Center also seeks to establish a bridge between talented, ambitious students and regional and the international job market. Many alumni are already enjoying their first employment and building their professional success by working in national and international organizations, non-governmental companies, or looking to establish their private businesses. On the other hand, many employers who already got in touch with IBU students are coming back again, being encouraged by the unique set of skills, talent and potential that IBU students are carrying out by completing their study. A significant effort has been made on all academic members of the University to establish extracurricular activities. Many exciting clubs can join in, where you can express your ideas and interact with other young people. All clubs provide numerous activities where you can gain specific knowledge and experience with all other members' full support.
