- At Brookvale, we believe every person matters and we are committed to ensuring that the children at Brookvale get the best possible education. Our collective aim is to ensure all children leave Brookvale with the necessary skills and abilities to be successful in their next stage of education. We do this by providing a rich, broad, and balanced curriculum that gives the children a wide range of experiences. We also work hard to ensure that children leave us with the right values and morals to contribute to our society. We focus all of our provision around values that run throughout the school. Pastoral care is also a key component of our provision and we pride ourselves on being able to support our children and families throughout their time at Brookvale. Our pastoral support has been a key element of our development over the last 12 months and is a real strength of our school. We are part of the Arthur Terry Learning Partnership (ATLP) which is a respected multi-academy trust of four primary schools, three secondary schools, five children's centers, and one teaching school, based in Coleshill, Erdington, and Four Oaks. The ATLP's academies are home to 4,500 children and more than 700 staff, including outstanding headteachers, specialists, and national leaders. The partnership has a strong moral purpose to improve education standards and achievements for all children in the community. By working in partnership, we have been able to share resources, expertise and deliver quality education to make an even greater difference where it matters most. At Brookvale Primary School we work hard to help remove barriers to learning and to support our children through each stage of their learning journey. Inclusion is a process that entitles all learners: To a broad, relevant, and stimulating curriculum. To an environment that will have the greatest impact on their learning. To be able to learn, play and develop alongside each other. The National Curriculum secures entitlement for all children to some areas of learning and allows them to develop the knowledge, understanding, skills, and attitudes that are necessary for their self-fulfillment and development as responsible citizens.
