  1. A small, public university with over 2,000 students worldwide, the University of South Carolina Beaufort is a dynamic and vibrant academic community that serves the Lowcountry and beyond. Led by Chancellor Al M. Panu, the University has three campuses situated in the heart of the Lowcountry—the Bluffton campus in Bluffton, South Carolina, the Beaufort campus in Beaufort, South Carolina, and coming in 2018, the Hilton Head Island campus on Hilton Head Island, SC. With its heritage dating back to Beaufort College in the late 1700s, USCB continues to play a large role in the powerful futures of our students, faculty, and staff, and communities we serve throughout the Lowcountry. Situated in the Carolina Sea Islands in a region rich in history, steeped in natural beauty, teeming with extraordinary opportunities for those who participate in golf, tennis, and water sports of all kinds and thriving as one of the world's great resort destinations, USC Beaufort offers students an exceptional place to learn and live in an environment focused on growth, preservation, and opportunity. The Bluffton campus (Main Campus), which opened in 2004, features on-campus student apartments and a brand-new Campus Center with dining, recreation, and fitness facilities. USCB's Beaufort campus on the Intracoastal Waterway banks is located in the heart of charming downtown Beaufort. It is home to our Studio Arts program, Center for the Arts, and many other cultural centers. Both campuses offer undergraduate programs of study to some 2,000 students, who pay state university tuition but often feel like they are studying at a small, liberal arts college. Hilton Head Island campus coming in 2018 will host the Hospitality Management program. Beginnings bring opportunities, and USCB is at the beginning of programs, customs, and traditions. It's an exciting time at an exceptional place. The University of South Carolina Beaufort (USCB) responds to regional needs, draws upon regional strengths, and prepares graduates to contribute locally, nationally, and internationally with its teaching, research, and service mission. USCB is a senior baccalaureate campus (1,400 to 3,000 students) of the state's largest public University. It offers degree programs in the arts, humanities, professions, and social and natural sciences delivered through on-site instruction and distance education, along with an active program of co-curricular activities and athletics. It serves a racially and culturally diverse student body, including military personnel, veterans, and their dependents. It draws students from the South Carolina Lowcountry, from around the country, and worldwide. USCB enriches the quality of life for area residents of all ages through its academic programs, continuing education, artistic and cultural offerings, community outreach, collaborations with regional initiatives, and life-long learning opportunities. The University of South Carolina Beaufort will be a university of academic distinction that is student-centered and community-engaged. The University of South Carolina Beaufort has an outstanding faculty throughout all of its academic departments, who are consistently recognized by national awards, honors, fellowships, and invitations to speak and consult in countries all over the world. Whether you're aspiring to be an artist or a marine biologist, an educator, or a writer at the University of South Carolina Beaufort, you'll discover an educational experience at a truly affordable price. With more than 2,000 students attending three campuses—Bluffton, Beaufort, and Hilton Head Island—our state-of-the-art facilities are some of the best, making it easy to see why The Chronicle of Higher Education named USCB among the top 5 fastest growing undergraduate universities in the nation. We believe you have a robust future ahead of you. It's time to discover it. If you are interested in research, you will not have to wait long before diving into opportunities at the University of South Carolina Beaufort. Our students immerse themselves in projects side by side with professors in the classrooms, in labs, and out in the field. Student research is part of the regular curriculum and happens on summer research projects as well. Our 30 areas of study incorporate exceptional instruction, extensive hands-on learning, and leading-edge resources and technology. The most potent discoveries are the ones that impact not only your future but enhance the lives of people everywhere. That is precisely what the University of South Carolina Beaufort's academic setting will empower you to do. Whether you want to run a world-class resort, climb the ladder at a Fortune 500 company, create the country's next great technological innovation, inspire young minds as a teacher, or help save lives as a nurse, we have the programs that will get you there. At USCB, we will take you beyond the books—showing you that college is about a total experience that should never be bound by classroom walls. Your time at the University of South Carolina Beaufort is about discovering who you are and whom you want to be. It is about discovering a community and making new friends—roasting s' mores over a campus fire pit, making a late-night snack with your roommates, or coming together as a student body to beat the faculty members in kickball. At USCB, these discoveries will help you become part of our close-knit community.
  2. Beaufort Hill Primary School came into existence in September 1991, on the amalgamation of Beaufort Hill Junior School and Beaufort Hill Infant School. We believe that the primary phase of education is the most important in a child's learning journey. It is a time when we aim to nurture all our children to become lifelong lovers of learning. Everyone at Beaufort Hill is truly committed to providing a caring and friendly school, a happy place to learn for our children to achieve their very best. We promote the highest standards of achievement for all pupils regardless of ability, religion, ethnic origin, or gender. We encourage children to think for themselves, placing emphasis on problem-solving, decision making, and becoming independent learners. Children's enthusiasm for learning is fostered, as is their pride in their achievements and pride in the school community. Individual efforts are valued and celebrated in an atmosphere that encourages self and mutual respect. Confidence in a school comes from knowing and understanding what is happening within it. We hope you will take advantage of the opportunities throughout the year to visit the school on occasions such as concerts, class assemblies, learning workshops, sports days, and Parents, Teachers, and Friends Association functions, as well as the parent-teacher consultation evenings. Beaufort Hill Primary School aspires to be easily accessible to parents. A successful school is one where there is a partnership between school and home. When children join our school, they will enjoy themselves, thrive, and achieve their best in our stimulating, learning environment. We take advantage of our outstanding grounds and use every opportunity to provide motivating activities which will stretch your child's imagination and allow them to learn through these first-hand experiences. So, if they sometimes come home looking less than pristine or occasionally they scraped a knee, remember they are, playing, exploring, and growing as they learn and have a fun time at our school.
