Baikal State University welcomes you and offers several new and demanding Master's and Bachelor's programs. We support classic Russian universities' traditions and combine them with the best and state-of-the-art foreign research schools. Our university employs highly qualified faculty with 98 people with Doctor Habilitus and more than 421 Ph.D.Our students gain high professional and communication skills and feel the necessity of life-long learning based on the innovative nature of today's economy, introducing new technologies in all areas of human life. International students are provided with accommodation in a well-furnished up-to-date dormitory located in the city center not far from Foundation Faculty and a 10-15 minutes' ride by public transport from the main campus. Safety: 24-hour security, access by authorization cards, authorized entry only (in exceptional circumstances, contact the dorm administrator). The dormitory is a two-story brick building with all amenities: central heating and water supply (hot and cold water), electricity, and wastewater disposal. The additional educational courses are intended to prepare international students for taking bachelor's or master's degree programs in BSU and incorporate the following disciplines: Humanities Module (Russian as a foreign language: practical course, scientific style of speech regional studies, etc.) Economics and Social Science Module (varies depending on the course chosen). To enter the Russian Federation, you have to submit your valid identity document acknowledged by this country (usually a passport) and your visa. The purpose of your visit (study) must comply with the type of visa granted to you. Our Passport & Visa Service deals only with student visas processed by the University invitations and the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation. All foreign citizens entering this country are subject to initial migration registration. Therefore while crossing the Russian Federation's state border, you have to get a migration card with a border crossing mark.
