AMJAD High School is committed to excellence in education. It offers rich programs in academics, activities, and athletics to equip and empower its students with 21st-century skills and attitudes to pursue post-high school education, enter the world of work, and become globally and socially responsible contributing citizens. Ultimately, then, AMJAD High School wishes its students to have achieved the objectives of self-realization, social competency, economic efficiency, and civic responsibility in a world alleviated by complex, social, and technological change. So that the statement of philosophy may be manifested in AMJAD educational program, AMJAD High School has adopted the following statement, which forms the specific objectives of this school. It shall be the duty of AMJAD High School in its direction of all activities to: Stimulate a spirit of inquiry that will lead the student to engage in learning activities throughout his/her life. Develop the ability to think critically and independently. Stress the importance of physical and mental health. Stress safety consciousness and develop sound safety practices. Stress the importance of self-evaluation. Develop attitudes of open-mindedness, tolerance, responsibility, and loyalty in the conduct of the student’s personal, family, school, and community life. Develop an awareness to change to anticipate it, to evaluate it, to adjust to it, and to benefit from it. Provide curricular and extra-curricular activities, which foster the development of service and leadership throughout life. Develop certain understandings, attitudes, and basic skills that make the student an intelligent and productive participant in economic life. Develop awareness and respect for the rights and property of others. Encourage the students to achieve their highest potential to foster their desire for further education. Aim the students to understand and respect other members of the society regardless of their creed, race, nationality, or gender. Evaluate periodically the activities of the school to determine the extent to which they are meeting the needs of the student body. AMJAD High School provides its various *services with empathy to all cultural heritages and expects any agency, organization, or person with which it cooperates to adhere to the same practice. AMJAD’s curriculum requirements are developed from community needs and parental expectations. The design output is reviewed to verify that basic competence and skills to be taught are consistent with the needs analysis. AMJAD controls its curriculum by criteria for personnel who design it. Hence, AMJAD prepares students to enter university and achieve success in standardized official exams. As a result, the program is both demanding and broad accommodating those who seek the Lebanese Baccalaureate (in General / Life sciences, Sociology, and Economics). By the 2nd cycle of elementary and on words, students take both English and French. AMJAD recognizes that schooling the new generation goes through a special process and its effectiveness cannot be completely measured until the students acquire the necessary foundation skills to succeed even when they reach college/university. The kindergarten program promotes the emotional, intellectual, physical, and social growth of the young children we serve. The curriculum is developed using a “hands-on “approach to learning. Multi-sensory activities that enhance the total development of the child are planned in a sequential number that follows a theme or is part of a unit. AMJAD Elementary school provides a fun and challenging surrounding for your child. It’s a time to build friendships and discover new subjects and special interests. The program of the elementary school at AMJAD builds the basic foundations for understanding in the ever-expanding environment of each child, as well as a carefully planned developmental program of the basic academic subjects. The elementary school curriculum includes an education that exposes your child to language, math, science, and physical education. AMJAD School programs will observe the progress of your children and place them in language courses that are appropriate for their learning style and progress. At AMJAD, the middle school, grades 7-9, is a unique entity. It bridges the gap for students between elementary school and high school. It must serve the educational needs of students during a critical phase of transition from childhood to adolescence. During these years, preparation for future educational experiences must be planned with emphasis on the sound emotional and social growth of each student.
