It is in this scope that His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, may God preserve him, has always stressed the need for education, which should be given special attention. His Majesty is the carrier of the torch in the march of revival. His Majesty believes that the human being is the starting point and objective of life and the means towards development. His Majesty has said in this regard. We give education the whole of our concern and strive to develop it, improve it, and elevate it. We seek to modernize education, supplement it, and make it profoundly rooted and suitable for the changing world. This is in line with the concern the Sultanate is giving to the development of human resources and solidifying scientific thinking to create literate generations who can participate in the development process and handle local and international changes and developments efficiently and competently. The Board of Directors will make all they can to carry out this noble cause. Our contribution is to support higher education, which is the engine and agent of the blessed march of revival. The Board of Directors, in collaboration with the College academic staff and Al Ahliyya Amman University, the affiliation partner, is working on introducing new B.A. and M.A. programs that will widen our scientific and educational scope. This is also in answer to students' wishes to go for higher degrees. The Board of Directors will provide all the required material and moral support to achieve this objective. The number of computer labs equipped at Al Zahra College for Women is 11 labs distributed across all academic departments, including 3 Apple Macintosh labs for the graphic design department. The laboratory computers contain the latest Windows operating systems, Office applications, and Adobe CC software package. The computers have a dual-booting mode that allows the user to choose between Linux or Windows as the operating system. All computer labs are connected to the Internet and equipped with multimedia tools (headphones, sound systems, projector). Students can sign in using their account, created once the student has registered at Al Zahra College. To create a conducive learning environment for students, the College has recently established its Theatre and equipped it with the latest facilities. The Theatre provides a platform for the various activities and functions organized in the College. The Admission and Registration Department has progressed along with the development and growth of the College. Its focal point is to serve the entire College and relating itself to many external bodies, including the Omani Ministry of Higher Education. The Department is committed to embracing the latest trends and practices in the field of admission and records. The business and financial sector is considered the main engine of all economic systems in the world. All nations of the world focus their attention on this sector. Therefore, the Department of Managerial and Financial Sciences aims at preparing scientifically qualified graduates. Finance and BankinG are to prepare graduates to work in commercial and specialized banks, stock exchanges, brokerage firms, and investment firms. All companies require an accounting. Graduates of this discipline can prepare financial accounts for enterprises and production and service companies. View full university
