Welcome to the Al-Safi International School. Our school vision is “Safi International School will be widely respected as an inclusive school offering a model cosmopolitan education”. This ambitious vision is underpinned by our mission “to educate and empower students to be compassionate and inspired people, who act for the good of all and the sustainable development of the world”. We are a school that focuses on academic excellence and confidence-building while nurturing in our students a strong sense of social and environmental responsibility. We celebrate the fact that each student is different, as a person and as a learner, and we aim to offer an education specifically designed to stimulate the intellectual curiosity of each child. The warm and inclusive nature of our school culture is something we are particularly proud of and work hard to maintain. At the same time, we place great emphasis on rigorous academic inquiry, making extensive use of information technology in the classroom. With a balanced program of curricular and co-curricular offerings we strive to live by our school motto: Inspire, Achieve, Create. Safi International School offers educational programs to students from over 10 nationalities. Such a diversified environment itself enables our students to develop international and intercultural awareness and understanding, which is one of our main educational emphases and prepares our students to become real-world citizens. Safi International School is an independent, not-for-profit day school offering an international curriculum for Nursery to Grade 10 students. Our mission is to educate and empower students to be compassionate and inspired people, who act for the good of all and the sustainable development of the world. All students get the opportunity to participate in the school’s Extra Curricular Activities, although some are age and gender-specific. Activities vary from sports, various creative arts (including music, drama). Pre-primary, being a child’s first experience in the formal educational system, can be an anxious time for both children and parents. This is why we have taken special care to create a warm, welcoming, and cheerful atmosphere, in which children feel secure and happy. An environment that makes them want to come to school each morning. Classrooms are bright and spacious, opening into enclosed garden spaces that allow children to explore the world of grass and sand, and flowers. A special children’s playground provides ample space for supervised play. The three-acre private park abutting the school, part of the residential campus in which the school is located, is perfect for nature walks. Ideally, learning at the pre-primary stage should be an experiential, enjoyable experience that leaves a child with a lifelong love of learning. Leading educational specialists and child psychologists believe that the best learning takes place through playing, listening, and asking questions. Not to mention observation, reflection, and exploration. At The Brigade School, experiential learning is encouraged and facilitated through enlightened, child-friendly teachers' attention to children group discussions and interactions and carefully selected books and learning aids. Our method of learning is to first listen, then speak, then read and finally write. Children are encouraged to learn about themselves and the people and things around them, including abstract concepts. The emphasis is on anxiety-free learning rather than reading and writing by rote. Nature, singing, and painting are a much-loved part of everyday school life. Children learn other important lessons to share, abide by simple rules, get on well with other children and accept the authority of kindly adults. Cambridge IGCSE is the world's most popular international curriculum for 14 - 16-year-olds. It develops successful students, giving them excellent preparation for their next steps in education, including progression to the Cambridge Advanced stage, both Cambridge International A/AS Levels and Cambridge Pre-U. Cambridge IGCSE is recognized by universities and employers worldwide. The fundamental intention of Al-Safi International School School to serve its’ community, is to sustain an ethos throughout the entire school that promotes teaching, learning, and achievement of the highest quality thereby enabling every individual to be valued and valuable in their own right. The school is based on the Cambridge adopted American curriculum. Staff and students use U.S. texts and materials. In addition to the core academic program which includes Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Language Arts, Arabic Culture, and Physical Education, the school's curriculum also includes a Global Language program that offers Arabic, French, Hindi, and Urdu. Other specialized programs offered at Al Safi international school include Technology, English as an Additional Language (EAL), and after-school activities. Al–Safi international school is accredited and licensed by the Saudi Ministry of Education. Al Safi School is committed to the development of self-motivated, life-long learners.
