In our effort to achieve such prominent goals, we choose only the best-qualified teachers and keep them up-to-date by enrolling them in training programs provided by specialized institutions. Our campus has been carefully equipped with all means for offering our children educational as well as sportive exercises. In addition to our spacious classrooms, the grounds include computer labs, a science lab, a library, an indoor gym, a large swimming pool, basketball courts, and lots of playing space for the little ones. The teachers at GIS promote extracurricular activities, and all our children participate in stage performances, fairs for different subjects, and cultural and quick wit contests. We, at Global International School always try to enhance our teaching techniques and our approach towards our students by keeping track of everything new and valuable in the world of learning and child psychology, and by furnishing ourselves, and our staff with every possible resource for achieving our goals. The Academic Curriculum for the Grades follows the guidelines of the National Curriculum which was introduced by the Education Reform Act of 1988. Starting School - Grade 1 & Up-"English As a First Language". Rather than teaching home-based, students in the primary stage are tutored by specialized teachers. All subjects are taught in English and they recur as the children move up, but they are approached in a more detailed way. Students in the upper grades are exposed to the same system. KG Department welcomes each child by providing a secure, nurturing, learning environment with hands-on learning experiences to develop fine and gross motor skills and confidence to deal with academic subjects for future success at school. To develop verbal, social, emotional, and academic skills with emphasis on fine motor skills, reading skills, writing skills, oral language, conceptual maths, and Science. Our reading program focuses on developing understanding and comprehension of the English language using visual aids with overhead projectors. Student progress is constantly monitored through assessments. Our KG 1 curriculum is designed to develop pre-reading, pre-writing, pre-maths, pre-science skills, and arts and crafts. Children are introduced to English through play, stories, arts and crafts, action songs and rhymes, activity centers, and theme work. Student progress is constantly monitored. Our KG 2 curriculum is designed to provide the children with a wide vocabulary experience while developing their academic skills in pre-reading, pre-writing, pre-maths, pre-science skills, and arts and crafts. Children are introduced to English through play, stories, arts and crafts, action songs and rhymes, activity centers, and theme work. Student progress is constantly monitored.
