University of Turkish Aeronautical Association was established by the Aviation Foundation of the Turkish Aeronautical Association. Thereby, TAA has a deep background thanks to its experience and intellectual knowledge gained through the activities in aeronautics and astronautics since 1925. University of Turkish Aeronautical Association is the first university in Turkey, having four campuses in 3 cities in Turkey. Its multi-campus environment is one of the few universities providing aeronautical practices such as mutual training flights. University of Turkish Aeronautical Association has Turkey’s most significant squadron for aviation training with its 77 hi-tech planes. UTA provides various and high-quality experiences to its students with a variety of planes in its squadron. University of Turkish Aeronautical Association is the first and only university in Turkey specializing in aviation and aerospace. The need for a qualified, educated workforce in the field of aeronautics increases the importance of UTAA. The relations of the university with the private sector help its graduates to get a job quickly. With its two airports (Etimesgut-Ankara and Selcuk-İzmir), six full capacity aerodromes (to be used as training laboratory), and two operator towers with ILS equipment (Etimesgut-Ankara and Selcuk-İzmir), UTAA is the best university in Turkey, having the largest and the most robust substructure in Aeronautics. The academic partnership with Vaughn College, one of the most outstanding universities globally, was designed to exchange academic personnel and students between the two universities, collaborate in research efforts, and co-operative employment placements.
      2. Riga Aeronautical Institute (RAI) is a higher educational institution with rich experience and traditions in preparing specialists in transport spheres like air, sea, and road transport. Students have enormous possibilities of exploring enterprise economics in corresponding fields, managing the enterprise, and exploring air transport and receiving pilot skills. About 1500 students study in RAI, including branches of the institute in Rezekne and Daugavpils. Except for Latvian students, students from Lithuania, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Russian Federation, and Armenia study in RAI. During the period of its existence, RAI has prepared more than 35000 specialists of different qualifications. To satisfy the demands of world economics and correspond to society's opinion, the staff of a higher educational institution continuously works on improving already available educational programs and developing new ones. The existing educational base located on the institute land is replenished with a new building with laboratories, libraries, and official hostel. Well equipped premises for giving lectures, practical lessons and seminars, café, medical center, fitness center, and swimming pool are located in the old building. RAI represents an example of successful international cooperation. In different spheres of science and education institute cooperates not only with Latvian higher educational institutions but also with Moscow Humanity-Economics Institute, Institute of Northern Dakota (USA), International Academy of Aviation PANAM, the center of training of aviation specialists Lufthansa, St. Petersburg State University of civil aviation and others. A logotype RAI symbolically describe spheres of activities of specialists trained by us – a globe of the Earth enveloped by a bird's wing, that shows that students like birds of passage fly to the institute, receive knowledge and experience, and leave for their working places in Latvia and other countries of Europe, Asia, and America.
