      1. At Aerodrome Primary we strive relentlessly to ensure that all our children enjoy a stimulating and diverse education, are fully active in their learning, and achieve to the very best of their ability. High standards are the main priority for the staff and children at Aerodrome primary. We aim for high standards in everything learning, behavior, attitudes, and commitment. Independence is a key skill that we aim to foster in all our learners at Aerodrome. Our personalized curriculum ‘Contexts for Learning’ allows both teachers and children alike to identify and develop their interests within and beyond the parameters of the National Curriculum and to take an active role in developing their learning journeys. Children are encouraged to share their ideas and opinions both in the classroom and within the wider school context. Children in the Early Years and beyond are taught and encouraged to make positive behavior and learning choices that enable them to flourish. We aim to develop a learning community where children respect each other and take responsibility for their behavior and achievement. Our whole school ethos is based on understanding and modeling the values that are essential to developing a harmonious and cohesive learning community. Developing excellent home school partnerships is the priority when children join our school. We encourage regular contact between class teachers and parents and will happily meet with parents both informally and by appointment to ensure we develop positive relationships that fully support the children in our care. We have a home school agreement developed by parents and staff together. Our curriculum is enriched by learning beyond the classroom and the children have many opportunities to enjoy school visits and we welcome visitors into our school. Outdoor learning and a wide range of extracurricular clubs also enhance the learning experience for all our children. At Aerodrome Primary School we are committed to developing lifelong learners and responsible citizens with a clear vision for their future. Our Aims: To provide a safe, happy, healthy, and friendly environment, which enables children to develop their self-esteem and decision-making skills enabling them to make a positive contribution to school life and beyond. To instill a love of learning and promote high expectations, celebrating both success and effort. To provide an inspiring, fun, engaging curriculum, with both challenge and support, in and beyond the classroom. To work hand-in-hand with parents/carers and members of the Aerodrome community to maintain and develop a school of which we can all be proud. View full school
