      1. At CAFRE, we have a vision for success, and we invite you to be part of this. If you are looking for a career in the agri-food industry or are already working in the industry, we can help you gain the right knowledge and skills for your future. CAFRE has excellent facilities that will help you learn by putting theory into practice. These facilities are found at our three campuses in Enniskillen, Antrim (Greenmount), and Cookstown (Loughry). We offer a range of courses in agriculture, food, horticulture, equine, and agri-food business. CAFRE also has an international program which will let you share information globally and enhance your learning experience, bringing new ideas to our local industry.A Students of all ages study at CAFRE because they are interested in getting an excellent job at the end of their course. Our results speak for themselves – on average, over 98% of our students are in employment, on a gap year or progress onto further education within six months of completing their course. If you are a hands-on type of person who does not want to be stuck behind a desk ALL day, then CAFRE courses and the careers they lead are perfect for you. Relevant practical experience in modern specialist facilities is a part of all courses. CAFRE has excellent links with businesses and organizations, many of which employ our graduates. They show their support by providing work placements, guest lecturers, and real-life course projects. They also donate over 30 bursaries to help fund the cost of getting a degree. You will go far to find better facilities to study agriculture, horticulture, food, or equine studies. With continuous investment, we keep our facilities up-to-date to benefit not just our full-time students but also people from industry who continue their professional development through our short courses. With competitive fees and accommodation costs, you will find that studying at CAFRE is not as expensive as you thought. Moreover, do not forget Higher Education students can apply for an industry bursary to lighten the load! You are treated as an individual at CAFRE. We have approximately 1,500 students at our three campuses. Staff are friendly and approachable and ensure that you are supported both personally and academically to achieve your potential. CAFRE is committed to the principles of sustainability in all of its operations, across the three Campus sites. We are a Member of the Environmental Association of University colleges (EAUC). We recognize our responsibility to ensure environmentally and socially responsible practices in our education and knowledge transfer activities. To achieve this, we aim to: Embed sustainability within the institutional culture: promote sustainable working and living practices and make sustainability core to our structures, governance, decision making, and operational processes Protect the environment and minimize our environmental footprint: be more effective in our use of resources and make significant reductions in the use of natural resources, in carbon emissions and waste production A reduction in carbon emissions through a combination of reduced energy use and the adoption of several renewable energy technologies, including solar power, wind energy, and biomass heating systems. The development of the Glenwherry Hill Regeneration Project which works in partnership with key stakeholders to develop habitats for grouse, breeding waders, hen harriers, and merlin and to improve the condition of the upland habitats. Achievement of LEAF Marque assessment each year. This holistic assessment ensures that CAFRE farms and production units are achieving the highest standards of environmental stewardship. In 2017 CAFRE completed its tenth audit to gain the LEAF Marque Accreditation successfully.
