Our school is a center of educational excellence. We focus on ensuring that all of our children can "be all you can be" in everything that they do. We passionately believe that there are no boundaries to learning. Last year this drive for excellence saw us being placed as 2nd in Birmingham and 83rd in England for the progress that our children made, putting us in the top 1% of schools in the country. We also excelled in sports and the arts winning numerous competitions and tournaments both locally and city-wide. We provide a safe and caring school environment where everyone feels valued and respected. Our curriculum is broad and full of real-life experiences that fire the imagination and show our children what the world has to offer. At Twickenham, we adopt a holistic approach to the teaching of the National Curriculum subjects. We link these through topic areas that are designed to stimulate and excite the children, to allow them to access learning through their interests. Many of our topic areas include ‘wow days’ and educational visits to create excitement about learning. The achievement of the children in the curriculum areas is closely monitored by our subject leaders, many of whom are educated to degree level in their specialist subject.
