Thomas Samuel Primary is a two-form entry primary school based in Walthamstow and operates as part of the Lion Academy Trust. Our pupils range from three to 11 years of age. We have a nursery provision for the Early Years Foundation, as well as provision from Reception through to Year 6. Currently, we have 420 pupils on the school roll. The school benefits from its location in a culturally diverse community – our pupils come from some 27 ethnicities, and more than 30 languages are spoken within the school.

Although working within the organization of an Academy Trust, Thomas Samuel Primary will always be a ‘community school. We aim to work in partnership with schools, enabling a locally-based education improvement solution to develop organically and to ensure that peer-to-peer support drives standards and improves outcomes for pupils and staff.
