St Lawrence RC Primary School is a thriving, busy, and welcoming primary school at the heart of our parish and neighborhood in Feltham, South West London. We aim to allow visitors to gain a flavor of what makes us tick and to give an insight into our inclusive community.
Catholic principles based on gospel values molded by a community centered on love and forgiveness with a desire to succeed for the highest accolades are the roots that underpin the ethos of the distinctive nature of Catholic education. We believe that here at St Lawrence we have been delivering this since the school was founded in 1934.
Today we have over 500 children ranging in age from 3 to 11. We believe that we offer each child regardless of their starting point or ability, the opportunities that they are divinely entitled to. Our Mission statement cites that ‘Our school is a place where we all come together as one community to learn, have fun and make lasting friendships, all under God’s love and care.
We are truly blessed to have wonderful children who are guided and supported by parents and carers who engage fully with our school. Our staff is dedicated and committed to delivering the very best experience for all children, with many having been at St Lawrence for many years. Our governing body plays an integral role in our success acting as the 'critical friend', they challenge and support us to ensure that we are always able to deliver our vision and values.
The relationship between the parish and school has always been very strong and the links that are made allow the child’s faith to grow and blossom. This link begins early in a child’s education and sets a standard of living and believing that will continue as they grow older.
Catholic schools exist to ensure that education for Catholics will always involve coming to know and live the beliefs and practices of the Catholic Faith. This will start in the family home, but will also find vital links in belonging to a parish and belonging to a school. It begins to create an identity within each child.
At St Lawrence's, both staff and pupils strive to live its ethos daily the governors have a responsibility of protecting and maintaining that ethos so that the school can truly be said to be anchored in Christ within the Church. It is an ethos and a responsibility that requires strong, healthy, and effective links with the parish.
The links that are well established between families, the parish, and the school, find their origin in the teachings of Jesus Christ and the mission of the Catholic Church. We all need to be fully committed to ensuring that this experience of the truths of our faith will be well understood and wholeheartedly lived by future generations, as well as our own.
Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. They underpin our teaching and learning and provide an environment that prepares our pupils as confident, happy citizens.
We endeavor to provide a safe, enjoyable, learning environment, coupled with strong Catholic values which allow all our students to achieve their maximum potential inside and outside the classroom. Our motto ‘High standards through Christian values’ encapsulate perfectly what we believe at St. Lawrence and we wish to extend these ideas to anyone who wishes to be a part of our family.

Pupils are encouraged to regard people of all faiths, races, and cultures with respect and tolerance and understand that while different people may hold different views about what is ‘right’ and ‘wrong’, all people living in England are subject to its law.
