Our children are at the heart of everything we do through Christian values and relationships, Living and learning together we celebrate the uniqueness and diversity of everyone in our family. We nurture a sense of self-belief, mutual respect, and belonging through Social Emotional Learning and academic excellence. We are dedicated to building the foundations for happy and successful life-long learning.
As part of All Saints Academy, we have actively refurbished our building to make it a safer and more stimulating environment for our children. By heavily investing in high-quality resources and state-of-the-art ICT facilities we are providing the tools for our expanding staff team to deliver an exciting school curriculum. We are proud of the relationships that we have with all members of the school community and especially the parents.
At the start of each year, we send our school magazine home which will include details of upcoming events as well as celebrating some of the exciting things we do. Every Friday we send home a school newsletter containing the latest information and celebrating the children’s success.
As much as we would like to share everything we do in school with the children, we know that there is far too much that goes on to summarise it all in one booklet, magazine, or newsletter. This is why we believe conversations and building relationships are so important. Class-based staff is on the playground as you pick your children up and this a great opportunity to catch up with daily events. The Senior Leadership Team is always available at the beginning and end of each day at the gate.
Christian values and relationships are at the heart of everything we do. The values of the Christian faith form the basis of how we treat each other and how we invest heavily in all our relationships. We have respect for all, regardless of religious denominations, faith, or no faith at all. Children are encouraged to respect the religious and cultural backgrounds of all people, noticing similarities between people, and celebrating differences.
We have a vast range of extended school activities including breakfast clubs, after-school activities, and residential visits. We have strong links with our churches and are actively developing these partnerships to serve the local communities. The high ethnic diversity in our schools helps us to learn how to build and better understand cross-cultural relationships within our school family. This has aided our partnerships in Jamaica where we have well-established global partnership links with schools in Jamaica.
our children’s learning as broad, exciting, and appealing as possible which in turn achieves high standards in every aspect of their learning. Our aim is for children to be inspired in all areas of school life and to become independent learners equipped for the future. Celebrating every child’s achievement is part of daily school life. We enjoy sharing the children’s successes both in and out of the classroom. We have regular celebration assemblies and invite friends and family to join us. Educational visits, outdoor learning, and residential visits are carefully planned which are a key part of teaching and learning in school.
Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) is how we teach our children fundamental life skills. We believe it is important to teach the ‘whole child’ and not just focus on academic learning. SEL gives children the skills to develop self-belief, mutual respect, and belonging within our community. We cannot ‘teach’ these skills as a one-off. There is a need to revisit and develop the concepts, understanding, and skills over time, building on what has been learned previously. We give children regular, planned opportunities to refer to and make appropriate use of Social and Emotional Learning across the curriculum, and in the choices, they make about their behavior and attendance – only then can we honestly say we have equipped our pupils with the skills they need to realize their potential.
We have high expectations of behavior and attitudes to learning and are working hard with the children so that they can independently make the right choices which will develop a culture of mutual respect between children, staff, parents, and the community. We believe that a strong partnership between children, parents, staff, and directors is vital if the children are to be happy and successful life-long learners. The world is rapidly changing and we need to prepare our children to succeed in all areas of life. We are committed to meeting every need of each pupil. We provide all the children with experiences that will encourage participation, enjoyment, physical development, social skills, and an independent interest in health and fitness.
