Over 100 years ago, in 1906 Southfield school first opened its doors to pupils from Chiswick and the local area. Since then it has evolved to become the happy, friendly, and thriving place to learn that it is today. The Edwardian building on Southfield Road, Bedford Park offers a glimpse into the style of education offered at the turn of the last century with three separate entrances for Infants, Junior Boys, and Junior Girls. Today the school is home to more than 520 children and reflects the diversity of our local community.

We aim for Southfield to provide a happy, nurturing community that inspires children to learn and to be their best. To do this there are two main areas we would like to improve: the quality of the learning materials that are on offer to our children and the environment in which they learn. The funds we have can take us so far, but we believe if we could generate additional financial support it could benefit the school significantly.
After discussion between the Governing Body and our Headteacher, The School agreed this is an opportunity we would like to try. Therefore, to help achieve this we are asking for your support in making a voluntary financial contribution to a new ‘Sunflower Fund’.
Over a hundred years old, Southfield has a vibrant history and we are lucky enough to have alumni that live both near and far. If you would like to be added to our list of old Southfieldians then please contact the office with your name and address and we will send you our latest newsletter with details of what’s happening in the school and events and fundraising carried out by our wonderful Southfield Parent School Association (SPSA).
