At Quarry Brae Primary School our curriculum offers a breadth of experience and a balance of opportunity for learning which is the entitlement of every pupil. The 5-14 curriculum provides clear pathways across the range of areas of learning. These provide a basis for personal growth and further learning. The curriculum builds on pupils’ experience and learning and aims to be responsive to their needs.
At Quarry Brae Primary we aim to:

The school constantly reviews and evaluates the development of our 5-14 curriculum. This helps all schools ensure that all courses have structure, progression, and continuity including sound assessment procedures.
Christianity will remain the core of the study, focusing on education and observance, rather than instruction. Our school chaplain, Jack Graham, participates in Church Services at the end of terms and parents are most welcome.
Health Education is taught continuously throughout the year, using the recommended Glasgow’s Health materials. Quarry Brae Primary School is aiming towards a Health Promoting School which impacts many areas of school life. To oversee this important area we have a Health Promotion Group established which meets regularly to suggest and implement and encourage healthy choices within Quarry Brae. School staff, pupils, and parents' views are regularly sought.
We have a very rich history in the Parkhead community. The original Quarry Brae school building was opened officially on the 9th of September 1904. It was originally located at 139 Baird Street, which later was renamed Crail Street. The school building was designed by architects McWhannell and Rogerson. In 1903, a temporary school building was opened, which later closed in June 1904.
