We are very proud to be a harmonious, richly multi-cultural, inner-city primary school with more than 32 languages spoken and more than 34 cultures represented. We were delighted to be graded as outstanding in all areas of our last OFSTED inspection – the result of brilliant teamwork by the staff, children, parents, and governors.
Our beautiful new building with an enormous glass geodesic dome on the roof has meant we can become two forms of entry throughout, and so more local children have the opportunity to learn in a really beautiful and exciting environment.

The curriculum includes the subjects which children study, the content of those individual subjects, how they are taught, how they relate to each other, and lastly how teachers organize their work over a half term, term, or school year. The school provides a curriculum that is broad, balanced, and relevant to meet the needs of each child. We aim to provide for the full academic, personal and social development of each pupil, and to encourage the pupils to work independently and to make decisions within an accepted moral code.
The curriculum seeks to develop in all pupils
- The ability to discover facts accurately and use them critically.
- The ability to identify and solve problems independently, as individuals, and in co-operation with others.
- The ability to work well with others, showing social skills of co-operation and leadership, mutual respect, understanding, and support.
- The motivation and ability to build on strengths and to learn from mistakes.
We believe that working in a cross-curricular way maximizes the opportunities for children to learn. As a school, we have invested a great deal of money in providing high-quality resources across the curriculum, and particularly in Computing. Every class is equipped with an interactive whiteboard and digital learning resources. Children have access to pads, laptops as well as an ICT suite that is equipped with 30 of the latest computers and two laser printers. This is because our children are growing up in a highly advanced technical society, and they will need excellent skills in this area to have an edge over others in the future job market.
