We opened our doors to our founding pupils and families on Monday 7th September 2015 and will grow year on year until we are at capacity in 2021. We pride ourselves on offering a broad, balanced, and rich curriculum, with a sharp focus on early literacy skills, ICT, and Outdoor Learning.
We also have an extensive enrichment program, offering Spanish, LAMDA, sports, performance, and specialist music provision as part of the school day and in our After School Club provision. We firmly believe in providing a highly individualized approach to education, which includes limiting group sizes to 15 pupils for core subjects, allowing all of our children opportunities to exploit their existing strengths and interests, whilst supporting their development needs. We strive to develop our children’s curiosity and independence through innovative and creative approaches, providing them with the skills and knowledge they need to help them progress to the next stage of their education and beyond. We offer all of this within a uniquely warm and nurturing environment, allowing every child to Learn, Enjoy and Succeed.

BPET is a new model for education delivery in the state sector. Established in 2012, the organization is a joint venture between two organizations that are passionate about providing high-quality education provision. These two organizations bring together the very best of the fee-paying Independent sector – Bellevue Education Ltd – experienced in running 15 independent schools in the UK and Switzerland with a highly-regarded education consultancy – Place Group – with experience in the state sector for efficiency of supply in setting up new schools and converting academies, along with driving value for money and compliance. The BPET Board consists equally of these two partner organizations, driving forward education improvement in the schools we work with. Halley House School is overseen and maintained by Bellevue Place Education Trust, which is the charitable body that employs the staff, owns the land, and sets the admissions arrangements for the school.
Halley House is a fully inclusive school where the learning and development needs of every child matter. We promote an inclusive ethos across the school community and are dedicated to ensuring all pupils achieve their potential personally, socially, emotionally, and academically. Halley House is committed to early identification of children with SEND and our dedicated school Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) and class teachers work closely with parents and carers and other professionals to ensure that children’s individual learning needs are identified and closely monitored to ensure that your child continues to successfully access the curriculum and fulfill their learning potential. At Halley House, our Inclusion Leader is Ms. Soozii Lim. She is responsible for overseeing the SEND policy and coordinating specific provisions to support children with SEND. She will also coordinate with external agencies and specialists to incorporate their advice as and when needed.
The Government believes that the Pupil Premium, which is additional to main school funding, is the best way to address the current underlying inequalities between children eligible for free school meals (FSM) and those that are not, by ensuring that funding to tackle disadvantage reaches the pupils who need it most. The Pupil Premium was introduced in April 2011 after research demonstrated that children from disadvantaged backgrounds were far less likely to get good GCSE results. Attainment statistics published in January 2014 showed that in 2013 37.9% of pupils who qualified for free school meals achieved 5 GCSEs, including English and mathematics at A* to C, compared with 64.6% of pupils who do not qualify.
