We are an ambitious, inclusive, and forward-thinking 11-18 secondary academy in Tulse Hill, Lambeth serving our local community. The academy opened in September 2013, in a brand new purpose-built accommodation, with state-of-the-art facilities to match our high-quality educational provision.
City Heights E-ACT Academy will grow year on year until 2020. When full, our academy will offer high-quality sixth form provision including being part of SL6 (South London Sixth, a collaboration of local sixth forms). As an E-ACT academy, we are part of the nationwide family of 25 academies, which allows us access to outstanding educational resources and expertise to help provide exceptional opportunities for all our students.

City Heights E-ACT Academy is a language specialist school, which promotes bilingualism. All students at the academy study a language (Spanish, French or Portuguese). In addition to this specialism, we also have a small inclusive additional learning needs provision for students with ASD, allowing them to access mainstream education alongside tailored individual support. At City Heights, we also enjoy a unique partnership with the renowned independent school, Dulwich College who work collaboratively with us to share enrichment provision and educational opportunities. Our academy is a warm, welcoming, inclusive environment, where we have high expectations and where staff go the extra mile, to ensure that all students realize their full potential.

We pride ourselves on working closely with families to ensure that all our students are committed to learning and throughout their time with us, achieve our vision statement and demonstrate our academy values in all that they do. Our values are important to us and we live them day in, day out.
We were delighted to be graded as ‘Good’ by Ofsted in May 2015, just 21 months into our existence. Our ambition now is for a very strong first set of GCSE results this academic year consolidating our position as a school of choice in the local community. Learning and teaching is our core business at City Heights E-ACT Academy – without exceptional lessons, we can’t become an outstanding academy. We believe that one lifetime is not enough to develop the craft of teaching and that as soon as a teacher stops learning they stop improving. As such, we are committed to giving the time, training, and leadership to our teachers which they need to reach these standards.
