This school was opened on the first day of October 1917, when forty-one scholars were admitted. In the afternoon the children were given a half-day holiday.
The school is situated in the middle of the village of Beulah, between Newcastle Emlyn and Aberporth in Ceredigion, West Wales. Our school is a Category A school as denoted by Ceredigion Education Authority and we are a fully bilingual establishment. Welsh is the main language of the school and a Welsh ethos prevails. We intend to ensure that all pupils communicate successfully in both Welsh and English by the time that they leave at 11 years of age.
We are committed to providing an education of the highest quality to each pupil in a contemporary, friendly environment ensuring equal opportunities to curricular and extra-curricular activities of the highest standards possible to enable them to reach their full potential as conscientious, bilingual citizens of the future.
We do lots of different activities in Beulah School. We do lots of things in the Urdd. Each year we go on a trip before the summer holidays, but we go on other trips during the year. People come in and do sport and dancing with us. Here we aim to give you a taste of what it is like to be a pupil at Beulah School by giving you a glimpse of the numerous and varied activities we undertake.
Our pupils work hard, care for each other and their environment and aim to create a happy atmosphere conducive to learning. We hope you enjoy visiting our website and please do get in touch. We look forward to hearing from you. We have made willow dens. The willow will grow during the spring and summer to provide a fun playing and learning area. We got sticks from the woods and threaded string through them and then put leaves through them. We made dens for little animals.
