Alperton Community School is a specialist coeducational secondary school and sixth form with academy status. It has specialisms in maths, computing, and the arts, and is located in the Alperton area of the London Borough of Brent. The school is committed to helping each student to be the very best they can be within a supportive, caring, and highly inclusive community.
In 2017, the school achieved an amazing set of GCSE and A-Level results. One in every four students achieved top grades G7-9 in English and Maths (top 3% in the country) and 70% of our students achieved higher than the national average of G4 and above in Maths and 80% in English. At A-Level, 49% of the students achieved A*-B grade and almost 1 in 3 students gained entry to Russell Group Universities – 3 students were accepted to Oxbridge, 8 students were accepted to Medicine degrees, 2 students to Dentistry and 25 students to Computer Science degrees.
we also moved into a new building, which benefits from some of the most advanced and sophisticated learning facilities. The new school has 83 classrooms, all fitted with Promethean’s interactive whiteboards that have built-in award-winning software, allowing for a more engaging and interactive learning experience in the classroom. The new building is arranged on three floors and has a very large and well-stocked library, 14 science laboratories, 10 ICT rooms, 5 art rooms, 2 music rooms, 2 drama studios, 6 design and technology rooms, and a dining hall capable of accommodating 450 students at a single sitting. The school will also have a new Sports Hall, that will be able to accommodate four badminton courts and three cricket practice nets, and a Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA).

Our GCSE and A-Level results in 2016 were the best the school has ever achieved. The progress students make from their primary school is exceptional. Nationally, we have a Progress 8 score of +0.56. This puts us in the top 4% of schools across the country (one of the best 130 schools in the country out of 3,100). Our Attainment 8 score is above the national average and the percentage of students achieving good grades in English and maths has increased from 46% to 70%, putting us well above Brent and national averages.
More than one-third of our A-level cohort has been accepted onto degree courses at prestigious Russell Group universities. The A level results are significantly higher than the national results and the progress made by students studying ICT, economics, and psychology were placed in the top 10 schools across the country.

We are extremely fortunate to be involved in PSBP (Priority Schools Building Programme), which means that the first phase of a brand new school building on the Ealing Road site is scheduled to open on time and budget in January 2017. Phase Two will be concluded in January 2018.
