Since it was founded in 1970, Riyadh Schools has been honored by having His Royal Highness, King Salman bin Abdel-Aziz- who is well-known for his wisdom, foresight, and open-mindedness- as the honorary president.
The school has witnessed a rapid expansion that makes it unique with its buildings, playgrounds, and green areas. We always encourage excellence and perseverance. Moreover, vital communication with students in a way that students would feel more encouraged and safer.
Riyadh Schools is managed by a board of directors appointed by the Misk Foundation and endorsed by the honorary president. It consists of nine members. The members are not allowed to work in the school during their membership term. The term is determined in the appointment decision or a separate decision. If a member resigns or leaves his office for any reason, Misk Foundation will take the appropriate decision. The board of directors holds a meeting every six months at least during the academic year. A meeting is considered formal if attended by a majority of members, and decisions are made by a majority vote.
A modern school is no longer a place where students can only learn reading, writing, and some simple skills. It has qualitatively developed to keep abreast of the swift changes occurring nowadays. Therefore, a modern school has a vital role to boost awareness and culture, develop ways of thinking, and improve behavior.
Consequently, the main concern of any school is how to make a leader who is learning from circumstances around him and influencing and being influenced by the environment around him. Thus, the school should prepare students academically, culturally, and intellectually in a way to make them capable of coping with our new challenging world and thus meeting the expectations of their families, society, and country.
These concepts will remain our slogan in Riyadh Schools till the dream comes true. This is why we seek to make Riyadh Schools an institution for making a generation of leaders that lead our great nation to the future. Those leaders will undoubtedly add glory and achievements to our history of civilization in a way that will fascinate the world. This is our only guarantee that our development journey will not halt as long as we continue making such leaders at all walks of life.
Prepare students intellectually, morally, and spiritually to pursue their aspirations and contribute to society. Thoughtful learners and passionate leaders serving our society. Reinforcing Islamic values and Saudi culture in the global world is a paramount obligation of the school. Every student can learn and improve, and it is our responsibility to act in ways to make that happen. A caring, listening, mutually supportive community promotes the values of truth and respect. Student learning and student well-being are the fundamental obligations of the school. A safe and nurturing physical, social, and intellectual environment is essential in our school.
