Vision International School is an International Schools Services (ISS) developed school located in Al Wakra – a close suburb of Doha, Qatar. Our school opened in September of 2014 and since that time we have been focusing our efforts on creating a high-quality institution for a selective group of parents who demand the best education, facilities, and school community for their sons and daughters. We proudly boast a blend of highly qualified and experienced staff, a plentiful supply of resources and educational learning tools, and a spacious and secure campus that includes a purpose-built facility fully suited and designed to house all learners from early years through high school.
Our student body represents more than twenty nationalities from around the globe. We follow an American international curriculum: our educational standards are from the USA, as are many of our teachers and most of our teaching resources. Our curriculum is tailored to the culturally diverse needs of our students while establishing a strong commitment to lifelong learning and service. We are passionate about what international education means for preparing future leaders for these challenging times. We are focused on hiring the best teachers and administrators at recruiting fairs in the US, Canada, and the UK. We have procured superior furniture, books, uniforms, and playground equipment from various countries spanning the globe. Our academic program is rigorous. We are a member of the Council for International Schools (CIS) and are seeking accreditation through the Middle States Association for Schools and Colleges. Once we receive accreditation, VIS will be recognized by most universities from around the world, which will, in turn, provide VIS students unprecedented access to top universities. Vision International School (VIS) is a proprietary school owned by the renowned Almuftah Group and a Member of the Council for International Schools (CIS). The school is located in a modern, spacious and beautiful educational facility located in Al Wakra – a close suburb of Doha, Qatar, on the Arabian Gulf.
Our campus opened in September 2014, with 225 students in grades Pre-K through Grade 8, and an eventual maximum capacity of 1200 students in Pre-K through Grade 12. Classes are co-ed in Pre-K through Kindergarten 2 (KG2). Classes from Grades 1 and up are single-gender.
The school offers an American international curriculum along with the Arabic language, Qatari History, and Islamic Studies.
The school is a modern, purpose-built campus including:
- An early childhood section for Pre-K and Kindergarten
- Elementary school for Grades 1-5 sections for boys and sections for girls
- Middle/High school for Grades 6-11 sections for boys and sections for girls
- A full-size gymnasium, swimming pool, two cafeterias, well-equipped libraries, art, science, and music labs, and exciting play spaces in both shaded and fully air-conditioned settings
- A robust After School Activities program for all grades from KG1 and up
Vision International School is a gender-separate American-curriculum school committed to preparing students for the 21st century by providing an academic environment in which students learn how to collaboratively solve problems and learn independently. In addition, students learn to express themselves through the fine arts, athletics, and a wide range of activities and experiences designed to enrich their lives. We also seek to instill a sense of ethics, care, and compassion for others.
