Children aged 3 to 18 are taught at our four campuses across Doha: Themaid, Madinat Khalifa, Gharaffa, and Rayyan. The curricula offered at our campuses include the International Primary Curriculum, English National Curriculum, IGCSE, A-Levels, and the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme.
Compass International School Doha was awarded accreditation for the International Primary Curriculum in 2019 and was the first IPC accredited school in the Middle East. Compass International School Doha is the first school in Qatar with a French – English program to receive the LabelFrancEducation accreditation for our French Bilingual Programme at our Rayyan Campus.
Our new Themaid Campus, near Education City, is the largest and opened in September 2019. The new state-of-the-art, purpose-built campus offers students an exceptional learning environment from its well-equipped science laboratories and theatre to the 25-meter swimming pool and specialist areas for design, technology, and music. The campus is open to students from Early Years through to Year 12 for the academic year 2020/21 offering the International Primary Curriculum, English National Curriculum, IGCSE, and A-Levels. Year 13 will be added for the 2021/22 academic year.
Close to West Bay, our Madinat Khalifa Campus offers Primary education from Year 1 to Year 6 and Secondary education for Year 7 to 13 and follows the English National Curriculum, International Primary Curriculum, IGCSE, and the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme (IBDP).
At Compass International School, we prepare your child for the future with a choice of pathways to the world’s best universities: A-Levels at Themaid Campus or the IB Diploma at our Madinat Khalifa Campus.
In 2018/19, our IBDP students achieved the school’s best results, surpassing the global IB average by 8%. The benefits that Nord Anglia Education schools bring to students’ academic results were on display with students achieving an average score of 32 points. 2019 graduate Aisha Serpedin achieved 42 points out of a potential 45, placing her in the top 2% of IBDP students globally. This is the level of attainment required to gain admission to the world’s elite universities, such as Cambridge, Oxford, Harvard, and Stanford.
The latest results build on Compass’ strong record of academic excellence and year-on-year improvements. In the 2017/18 academic year, Compass graduate Audrey Palosse achieved 40 points, placing her in the top 8% of IBDP students globally, and in the 2016/17 academic year, Mujahid Khan achieve 41 points, placing him in the top 4% of IBDP students globally.
In 2019, two Compass students were awarded ‘Top in Qatar’ by Cambridge International Education for the highest mark in Qatar for the IGCSE subjects, Coordinated Science and Art and Design. This is the second year in a row that Compass students at the Madinat Khalifa Campus have achieved the highest mark in Coordinated Science in Qatar.
Compass students performed exceptionally well in other IGCSE subjects, with many achieving A* to A grades including 86% in Economics, 64% in ICT, 50% in Business Studies, and 43% in Maths.
To the west of Doha lies our Gharaffa Campus, close to Doha’s Education City and Sidra Medicine. The Gharaffa Campus offers Early Years and Primary education from Early Years 1 to Year 6 and follows the International Primary Curriculum. Our Gharaffa Campus also offers our Dutch Language and Culture program for Dutch-speaking students from Early Years 1 to Year 6.
Located on the grounds of a former palace, our Rayyan Campus offers Early Years and Primary education from Early Years 1 to Year 6 and follows the International Primary Curriculum. At the Rayyan Campus, we also offer a specialist English/French Bilingual Programme which is accredited by LabelFrancEducation. This prestigious accreditation is granted by the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs. Children are taught English and French as stand-alone languages to develop knowledge and skills in both languages. Maths and the International Primary Curriculum, which covers all other subject areas linked together by a common theme, are taught in both languages.
