St. John’s International School or SJIS is a private-funded International School that is an associate La Salle School in collaboration with the La Salle Brothers in Malaysia. The establishment of SJIS is in keeping with one of the priorities of the Lasallian Family in Malaysia to cater to the needs of young Malaysians, and also to link the school with a Lasallian organization that has an outstanding and reputable long history of delivering excellent education not only in Malaysia but in 82 countries worldwide.
Our school. fondly referred to as SJIS blossomed as the first private La Salle associated school. The school motto above depicts the underlying strong belief and courage on which SJIS was founded in 2010. Though SJIS is less than a decade old, it holds steadfast to the principles and ethos of the Lasallian spirit that was brought to the Malaysian shores some 120 years ago. It is through these experiences that we ensure that each student whilst they are here in SJIS, will enjoy their schooling life. We will arm them to have strong positive characters, to be independent learners who will strive to reap their full potential both in their academic and co-curricular activities.
We have seen our students who had become world and national champions in just a few years. Though we strive to achieve academic excellence amongst our students we are equally mindful of their commitment to serve our community through various charitable activities and services. Currently, SJIS has students from well over 15 countries and this representation has been growing annually.

SJIS is part of the excellent scholastic tradition that began with St. John’s Institution, Kuala Lumpur in 1904. SJIS shares, not just the ethos but also the same location and part of the structure as St. John’s Institution’s noted arched edifice with a red and white brickwork facade. Set against one of the world’s oldest tropical rainforest enclaves, the Bukit Nenas Forest Reserve, the area is lush and tranquil as well while providing a view of the KL Tower and the Petronas Twin Towers.
