    Taymour English School was founded in 1991. The school has two locations, one in the Roushdy district, which is one of the most sophisticated, quiet locations in Alexandria, a central location to several districts making it a walking distance to most of the students attending in this location. The second location, is in Abees, by the agricultural road, surrounded by green areas and open spaces, a tranquil setting conducive to serious study, opportunities for self-discovery, and companionship among friends. Whether you are attending Roushdy or Abees, the school emphasizes academic excellence, personal growth opportunities, and development of character, as represented by our five core values: Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Compassion, and Honesty.

    Taymour English School was originally situated in the center of the uptown of Alexandria in a District called Roushdy in a historical two-story residential building. That building used to be the Taymour family home for years ago, it is the place where they were raised and brought up. After Mrs. Taymour had passed away, her children had decided not to give up their family home for sale, but instead, they planned a preschool called “Disney Home” to be opened in it, thus keeping the house and strengthening the family connections among them. Disney Home was launched in 1991, followed by the opening of Taymour English School in 1994.

    Ten years later, a new campus was purchased in Abis, in 2004, accommodating the students of the American Division and more of the National System, including twenty-two classes for the American Division and the same for the National System. It includes a theater, a gymnasium, basketball courts, football courts, tennis tables, volleyball, libraries, computer rooms, horseback riding, and art rooms. These first-class facilities have been much anticipated and will enhance the school environment for students, staff, parents, and caregivers.

Founded in 2013, Smart City International School is a private independent school offering a National and American program for students in early childhood through grade twelve. The school has the required legal authority to operate. It demonstrates that it has the organization, stability, and reliability that assure parents and the public that it is a well-functioning educational institution Smart City International School is legally recognized by the Egyptian Ministry of Education as a privately owned K-12 utilizing an American curriculum leading to an American High School Diploma. Currently, we are pursuing accreditation from the Advanced ED organization.
