To achieve our mission, Evolution aims to recruit the best staff available. To this end, all Evolution teachers will either have a recognized teaching certificate such as the UK Postgraduate Certificate of Education (PGCE) or an equivalent. The school makes sure that all homeroom and main subject teachers have high levels of English and a minimum of five years of teaching experience.
Evolution strives to support students in becoming guardians of the planet. We want students to develop skills through collaborative, contextualized learning, and critical thinking. Evolution provides a learning experience that embraces internationalism and community spirit.
In line with developments in modern technology and communication, Evolution aims to take advantage of these powerful tools and teach students how to use them responsibly and integrate them into their learning. Children have access to iPads to practice important skills learned in the classroom. Technology is used to aid research and independent inquiry. Students will also be shown how to use the technology to communicate responsibly about their work with class members, teachers, and parents.
The school has an e-library that can be accessed in school or at home so that students have access to textbooks, reference materials, and reading books. An e-library is an important tool in the school’s approach to learning.
The school has developed an extensive co-curricular program within the school day. Three times a week students are allowed to choose clubs that they would like to attend. Choices will include arts and crafts, music, sports, board games, debating, and languages. Students will choose three different clubs each week and will have the opportunity to change their clubs after eight weeks. More details about the clubs will be announced at the start of the school year.
