Fieldstone is a private co-educational and non-denominational Cambridge School where students are inspired to achieve great things. As a Cambridge School, we teach a curriculum that sets the global standard for education designed to help students develop an informed curiosity and a lasting passion for learning. Academic achievement in the context of a well-rounded co-curricular program prepares our students for success in the fast-changing modern world.
Fieldstone is founded on a strong and positive belief in children. Children, very naturally, exhibit a powerful desire to be successful both socially and academically. It is our responsibility, as a school, to guide, encourage, and support them to make that desire a reality. We achieve this goal by teaching an enriched curriculum in the context of a caring and supportive environment. At Fieldstone, we see not the child we meet but rather who that child will become.
A fieldstone is a place where all learners can excel. Our small class sizes and individualized approach ensures that every child is being challenged. We believe that young children have an incredible capacity to learn, and it is our task to make the most of this formative time in their development. The Cambridge Primary Programme begins in Kindergarten, Stage 1, in Maths, Sciences, and English. Through an active learning approach, students learn the fundamentals in these subject areas providing a strong foundation for future years. Our students begin studying music through our Orff program, where children learn music in an authentic and hands-on way and begin learning French. With gifted education support and advanced level programming, every student is challenged as an individual.
Cambridge Primary is an education program for young learners that combines a world-class curriculum, high-quality support for teachers, and integrated assessment. There are over 10,000 Cambridge Schools in 160 countries worldwide, and we are proud to be Canada’s premier Cambridge School. The Cambridge program begins with Stage One, Kindergarten, Cambridge Primary, and culminates with Cambridge A-Levels, one of the world’s most recognized and respected secondary school qualifications. The Cambridge approach supports schools in developing confident, responsible, reflective, innovative, and engaged learners.
Cambridge Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Starters is a program for 5 to 11-year-olds to learn this new ‘literacy’ alongside reading, writing, and numeracy. Through this program, students learn ICT competence and practical skills in an environment that is age-appropriate. Our youngest learners learn how to navigate the keyboard and use simple software applications in our fun and engaging approach to ICT.
