Airdrie Christian Academy (formerly Airdrie Koinonia Christian School) was founded in September of 1987 with three full-time teachers, one part-time teacher, and approximately fifty students from kindergarten through grade seven. It was one of the largest schools starts in the Calgary area. ACA is accredited by the Alberta Department of Education and maintains official memberships with the Association of Christian Schools International and the Association of Independent Schools and Colleges of Alberta. By integrating a Christian worldview into the curriculum provided by Alberta Education, we have been impacting the lives of children in Airdrie and the surrounding area for over 30 years. We offer a rigorous yet safe and friendly environment for children from Preschool to Grade 12 and provide them with a solid foundation for their futures, both academically and spiritually. This school was started for His glory, and will continue only for His glory! Only Christ and His truth are our foundation, and on Him alone will we stand.
Our purpose at the Jr. Kindergarten Program is to provide a Christian environment where your child can grow socially, emotionally, physically, mentally, and spiritually by using our monthly themes and developmentally appropriate activities. You are your child’s first and most important teacher. Therefore, we would like to partner with you to provide the best possible start for your child. Our primary objective is to ensure a happy, healthy, and secure atmosphere for your child under the guidance of committed Christian Early Childhood Educators.
ACA’s Elementary division offers a Christ-centered discipleship program that invests in the hearts, souls, and minds of students. Our vision is to equip and disciple generations for Christ. Our focus is on a strong Christian education. Christian values underpin our entire program, and it is our primary desire to help students and even parents to grow in grace and the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. Our Bible program is first-rate, combining excellent teaching in doctrine with the inside stories of our faith. Our Bible memory program is outstanding, allowing every student to store God’s Word in their hearts. We consistently devote time every day in every grade to teaching the Bible and to prayer.
