Our academic curriculum and broad co-curricular program encourage the development of intellectual curiosity, respect for the traditions of scholarship, the realization of each student’sstudent's artistic and recreational potential, and the practice of Christian values. Penleigh and Essendon Grammar School offer an enriching education from Kindergarten to VCE. Our single-gender and co-educational learning environments balance small sections' support with a large school’sschool's resources and opportunities.
We welcome students at multiple entry levels, beginning with our co-educational Kindergarten in Essendon. Prep to Year 6 are offered at the Junior School (girls) campus in Moonee Ponds and the Junior School (boys) campus in Essendon. Our flagship Keilor East campus is home to the separate Middle School (girls) and Middle School (boys) sections for Years 7 to 10 and the combined Senior School section for Years 11 and 12.
Our school's structure allows students to enjoy the proven benefits of a single-gender education during childhood and early adolescence and a mature co-educational environment during critical VCE years. Outside the classroom, we offer an extensive co-curricular program where students are encouraged to develop their senses of sportsmanship, creativity, community, and leadership. We are proud to be known for our broad offering’soffering's high quality and commitment to our students' care and well-being.
Our school’sschool's distinguished academic reputation results from a refined combination of both traditional and forward-thinking education. We offer a tailored approach to school life, not only in the rigorous thought which goes into the structure of our sections for different ages and genders but also in the attention given to each student.
Through a considered blend of classroom learning and broader school experiences, we aim to give students the insight to foster their positive development. The school philosophy encourages a love of learning and supports creative, critical, and caring thinking. Coupled with our physical facilities and broad-ranging, co-curricular activities, we offer our students a well-rounded experience at every level of their education.
