Oxford Falls Grammar School

We are a Kindergarten to Year 12, co-educational, independent Christian school, set in a picturesque, semi-rural location on Sydney's Northern Beaches. We are dedicated to providing quality education within a caring, nurturing, and empowering learning environment from Kindergarten to Year 12, one underpinned by a solid Christian foundation.

We focus on the development of the whole child – body, mind, and spirit. We believe that education encompasses more than academics and includes character and spiritual growth. In partnership with you, we aim to produce educated young men and women who are tomorrow's leaders, confident and self-motivated learners with the skills to discover and achieve their full potential in all areas of life.

Our vision is to develop each child's child's unique qualities for their future — academically, physically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually. Throughout their 13 years of school, we aim to partner with you, the parents, in developing your child's character to become mature, well-rounded adults, contributing positively to their communities. With this in mind, we have identified six key attributes that we hope to instill in them that will prepare them for their future.

Our Vision Statement is to develop each child child's unique qualities, equipping them to enjoy a successful, Christ-centred life. Our Mission Statements provide Christ-centered educational excellence, encompassing each student's spiritual, physical, emotional, and academic development.

Our Statement of Faith beliefs is by the Bible, which is God's infallible and authoritative Word. As a summary of our faith, we believe:

• There is one God the Creator, eternally existing in three Persons — God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit
• In the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, that He is the Son of God, we believe in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious (enduring death for all men) and atoning death, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father.

It may seem obvious, but education is the first responsibility we have as a School to our students and families. We aim to impart a love of learning in our students to value and embrace the importance of being educated. We employ professional, experienced staff who are highly trained and consistently learning to improve themselves and educate the young people for whom they are responsible.

Recognizing and developing spirituality forms an integral part of our children's children's development. This entails growing in knowledge and faith in God and understanding and practicing love for ourselves and others. Chapel, Christian Studies, Pastoral Care, Camps, Connect Groups, and our Youth Pastors are essential avenues to impart this attribute to our students.

In the early 1980s, Dr. Phil Pringle (Senior Minister, C3 Church Oxford Falls) had the vision to start a Christian school that was intentional in its spiritual direction and exemplified strong Christian characteristics while offering contemporary, quality education. In 1984 Northside Christian School (now Oxford Falls Grammar School) opened its doors, and by the end of that year, 24 students were enrolled. Through their diligence and perseverance, Dr. Pringle and the original School Board established Oxford Falls Grammar School and later released it to run under an independent, autonomous Board.
