Northpine Christian College is a leading independent, coeducational day school for Prep to Year 12 located on four scenic hectares in Dakabin, north of Brisbane, and a ten-minute drive from North Lakes. The College has a vibrant and friendly community and has an excellent reputation for developing students of subtle character prepared for purposeful futures.
The College provides a holistic education for over 870 students and has welcomed students and their families for over 70 years. We aim to create a happy community that promotes a sense of belonging among all students, families, and staff, building on the College's traditions. Our supportive and caring environment, together with our broad-based education programs, provide our students with many experiences and opportunities to fulfill their potential, and be prepared for life beyond school. Guided by supportive teachers, a Northpine student can gain the confidence to achieve their academic and personal goals.
We are affiliated with the Seventh-day Adventist Church, and Christian teachings underpin all that we do. The Board of Directors of the Seventh-day Adventist Schools (South Queensland) Ltd is the principal governing body of the College. It comprises representatives of the Head Office of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in South Queensland and the Seventh-day Adventist churches in the North Brisbane region. The Northpine Christian College Advisory, established by the Board of Directors, comprises the College Principal and members elected from the supporting Adventist churches. Its role is to support and advise the Principal.
Northpine Christian College exists to serve the community, providing quality education in a real Christian environment. This is outlined clearly in our Mission Statement, which confirms our purpose to provide a God-centred, supportive educational environment where students can reach their potential and find value in a life of service to God and the community.
Being a student at Northpine is more than just attending classes and completing homework. It involves being immersed in a holistic educational process, which develops academic performance and places a strong emphasis on social, spiritual, and physical well-being.
Your child is an important and unique individual who can be safe and flourish in the caring and collaborative atmosphere of our College. Though Northpine Christian College continues to grow and develop, it remains committed to maintaining a focus on valuing each child. Presently, the College has a student population of 900 from Preparatory to Year 12. As the College continues to grow, we intend to ensure that we remain on the cutting edge of educational practice, thus offering your child the very best in Christian education.
Northpine has a long and storied history. Founded in 1940, with only 26 students, the school began in a hall located at the back of the Albion Seventh-day Adventist Church in Brisbane.
