Macksville Adventist School is a co-educational school owned and operated by Seventh-day Adventist Schools (NNSW) Ltd, a member of Adventist Schools Australia (ASA). ASA is a part of the world-wide Adventist education system, the second-largest private schooling system in the world. Also, Macksville Adventist School is a member of the Association of Independent Schools (AIS) of NSW.
We are registered and accredited by the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA), a body that regulates all independent schools in NSW and prescribes the NSW Curriculum guidelines and outcomes. The school's local administration is delegated to a School Advisory Committee appointed by the Board of Directors. The School Advisory Committee generally meets every month during the school term.

Our vision at Macksville Adventist School is to provide quality education in a caring, Christian environment, equipping students for a life of faith with service to God and the community.
On 31st January 1967, Macksville Adventist School commenced operation with seventeen students. By the end of the year, the enrolments had grown to twenty-four. Classes were run in the church hall, and the local church community was involved in extensive fund-raising activities to support the school's operations. After two years of operating debt-free, the decision was made to purchase property to build a dedicated school building for the growing school community. It took several years of planning before the land was purchased, and a school building was erected. The official opening of the building, on its current site, was held in October 1984.
