Good News Lutheran College

The College curriculum is based on the Australian Curriculum, along with AusVELS in curriculum areas where the national Curriculum has not yet been finalized. Teachers are involved in curriculum development regularly.

Support programs for disadvantaged students are a feature of Lutheran Schools and are provided when the need arises. Open-ended, investigative tasks cater to students of all abilities. For more information about our engaging Curriculum, please contact the College.
This year the College has committed to adopting a set of international programs - the International Baccalaureate. Good News Lutheran College believes that the International Baccalaureate aligns incredibly well with its educational philosophies and values and helps better support its amazing multicultural, international community. Mrs. Maria Denholm will head the Primary Years Programme (PYP), to teach children aged 5-12 in our College to be an inquirer both within and outside the classroom environment.
The Middle Years Programme (MYP), which will be overseen by Mrs. Erin Bagot, is a five-year program for students aged 11-16, encouraging them to make valuable connections between their education and the real world. IB programs aim to provide a series of rigorous, challenging, and unique curriculums to authorized schools, focusing on developing students to be internationally-minded individuals and promote students' participation in a global society.
