Overall Purpose of the Role

  • Deliver Walt Disney World (WDW) and Disney Cruise Line (DCL) revenue and sales targets through Iberia travel trade partners and develop successful trade relationships that will enable long term growth

  • Develop and implement an Annual Operating Plan for WDW & DCL with focus on consumer direct and trade marketing

  • To develop, implement, manage and review creative for trade partner campaigns & support marketing activations for CD channels across WDW & DCL to drive sales / awareness

  • Work with Head of Marketing, PR and Promotions – Iberia to build and implement year round plans to grow WDW and DCL business

This role will require you to be onsite 4 days a week.

Areas of Responsibility

  • Responsible for the overall account management of travel trade partners, whilst exploring new opportunities for growth

  • Define and implement sales and marketing plans with key accounts and execute them in a timely manner.

  • Responsible for briefing and implementation of all major trade partner marketing campaigns ensuring the development, briefing, co-ordination, sign off, launch & reviews are successfully implemented & are compliant with the Disney Destinations Brand guidelines.

  • Support in the marketing and translations of the CD business, working with UK team to implement and maximise opportunities.

  • Work with Head of Marketing, PR and Promotions to deliver core activations to deliver against AOP plans.

  • Responsible for defining and creating the necessary training collateral and presentations to ensure Iberia travel agents have the latest information, tips, tools and offer details on WDW & DCL

  • Develop effective sales and marketing opportunities to deliver annual targets.

  • Achieve set objectives which support the overall strategy of WDW & DCL in Iberia.  

  • Develop and maintain outstanding relationships with customers and trade partners, supporting their needs, goals and priorities.

  • Be innovative, creative and proactive, leveraging knowledge of travel market to find and implement new opportunities to develop sales and revenue.

  • Responsible for planning, forecasting and providing input for Annual Operating Plans and revenue targets.

  • Become an expert on WDW & DCL brands, products and way of working, showcasing Disney values both internally and externally.

  • Develop strong relationships with the Commercial and Marketing Manager and wider UK central teams ensuring internal coordination and efficient information flow.

  • Work in coordination with local teams to build a strong relationship with The Walt Disney Company LOB’s to promote and develop synergy actions and business opportunities in conjunction with key trade partners.

  • Attend and support key travel industry trade shows, workshops, familiarisation trips, ship tours and training events to represent WDW & DCL.

  • Support other work related tasks and projects when required by the Country Head/UK team

  • Achieve set objectives which support the overall strategy of WDW & DCL in Iberia

Experience and Professional Qualifications Required

  • Min. 7-9 years sales and/or marketing experience required

  • Experience in management required

  • Iberia market knowledge required

  • Cruise industry experience required

  • Proven experience of key account management with track records required

  • Large matrix organisation experience required.

  • Experience in building and delivering business and training presentations required

  • Experience managing budgets desirable

  • Commercial negotiation required

  • Strategic planning experience desirable

  • Ability to proactively collaborate, leverage central efforts and, when appropriate, take direction from matrix partners

  • Exceptional organizational, project management and communication skills to balance marketing programs across two brands for optimal execution and success

Skills Required

  • University Degree.

  • Fluent in English/Spain both verbal and written.
