A dedicated, dynamic, and seasoned director is needed for the Global Publicity team This is a fast-paced, multi-faceted position that requires creativity, improvisation, organization, and communication at a very high level. This leadership role will oversee and manage the Targeted Marketing and Field Publicity team according to VP’s strategic PR priorities, aligned with Company’s evolving business objectives. This position may require some non-traditional working hours (early morning/weekends), light travel and on field level work at events, including premieres, screenings & junket.
Job Responsibilities:
Daily management of mainstream agencies x35 markets and daily coordination with Sr. Publicist.
Communication of global strategy and creation of field campaign directives and distribution to agencies
Collaborate with regional agencies to build out film + streaming marketing/PR campaigns and execute based on approved budgets.
Create and regulate campaign budgets (inclusive of hired agencies, festivals, conventions + special projects)
Field TV/Print/Online Press management in tandem with Senior Publicist
Ensure embargoes are shared with all agencies.
Direct regional film festival participation alongside Vice President
Lead weekly agency calls.
Help drive agenda and discussion points for internal team meetings and agency calls/meetings.
Responsible for creating field/targeted overall Highlight reports in partnership with Sr and Jr Publicists on team on behalf all campaigns and submit to VP for review & distribution.
Oversee annual previews, BFCA lists, regional media releases in tandem with Sr. Publicist.
Create and maintain direct contacts with high-impact entities such as SXSW, Experiential Agencies, etc.
Direct tastemaker programs, exclusive partnerships, and marketing installations
Oversee and guide radio promotions, college programs and screening programs (Critic/Press, Promo, WOM)
Liaise with internal digital teams and press team.
Maintain relationships with Synergy, Digital, Promotions, Cinema Partnerships, Media departments.
Manage staffing and run of show documents for events.
Regional PA Tour Planning and Execution
Requirements:
7+ years’ experience in the entertainment industry, in theatrical and/or streaming publicity, and must have field publicity experience
Working knowledge of Microsoft-based software: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Strong organization and communication skills are required to interface effectively with internal and external parties.
Experience interfacing with high level executives and filmmakers
