Job Description:
Ensures availability, reliability, and maintenance of mechanical and HVAC systems (e.g., oilfree air systems, HVAC systems, chilled water plant, boilers, environmental abatement systems, and environmental compliance exhaust) to support manufacturing, clean room, and research and development activities.
Supports daily tactical efforts in safety, reliability, and environmental objectives of facilities mechanical systems.
Designs and analyzes mechanical systems, equipment, and packaging and troubleshoots mechanical systems systematic issues and provides evaluation, recommendations, and solutions to resolve problems.
Develops engineering scope of work for mechanical projects and provides engineering design review and evaluation of mechanical systems.
Conducts feasibility studies and testing on new and modified designs, directs support personnel in the preparation of detailed design, design testing, and prototype fabrication, and provides design information to drafting for packaging documentation.
Partners with business unit customers and internal customers to provide engineering solutions in support of their equipment and systems.
Partners with operations and maintenance service providers to ensure mechanical systems are maintained and operated within specified limits.
Develops mechanical systems roadmap and asset replacement strategy to ensure reliability, redundancy, and capacity are available for expansion of existing facilities, renovation, and growth.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor or Masters in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or closely related field
Minimum of FETAC Level 8
5 + years relevant experience in operations, commissioning and design of Cleanroom HVAC, facilities exhaust, chillers, boilers and compressor systems, ultrapure water or wastewater treatment, pumps, valves, flow calculations and chemical analytical testing
Additional experience that would be an advantage:
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Excellent computer skills, strong data analysis capability and knowledge of statistical process analysis
Knowledge of structured problem solving and troubleshooting techniques and ability to apply them
